    We are very interested in Beta testing the Issues Timeline as soon as it's available. Unfortunately, the Release Timeline does not fit our needs.

    As you already mentioned Swanly is currently helping manage projects with help of Releases. We understand this approach might now be for everyone and that's why we're currently working on introducing Issue timeline too.

    I'll let you know once Beta is available so you can have a look and check if the solution fits your needs.

    thank you for your review. Swanly is currently giving an option to track your work progress via Releases.

    The issue timeline is in active development but not available in production yet.

    We'll let you know once it's ready for private beta so you can give it a try and see if it fits your needs.

    Nice set of features, but the UI for creating releases and specifying dates for each step is tedious and the performance is too slow.

    Thank you for your feedback Jerry. We're currently addressing the performance side when updating release steps and we have plans to introduce templating to enable you to autofill default step date ranges. This should help cut down the time spent creating releases.

    Swanly has been a great tool to support our cross functional team that releases products under 1 release train. You would need several plugins to have all the features that Swanly offers. The ability to share releases across projects is critical for us and the visual timeline of your work, as well as the custom stages around release, are really nice features. Our teams could not use release management in Jira without Swanly.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    By default every user in your Jira instance can do anything in Swanly. If you're looking for a way to restrict access to Swanly or certain features then this release is for you. Swanly now offers 3 permissions roles:

    • Administer Swanly (global permission)
    • View Swanly Releases (project permission)
    • Edit Swanly Releases (project permission)

    📋 We also added project name to the List view of releases when there is only one project in the release so it's easier for you to navigate across.

    What we're working on now:

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Find new apps or Find new add-ons screen loads.
    3. Locate Swanly - Portfolio Release Roadmaps Jira.
    4. Click Free trial to download and install your app.
    5. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
