Security and performance improvements + CommitGraph is now a paid app
v2026.05.15 introduces two important security fixes:
- Git tags are no longer passed into Git command-line executions. Git commit-ids are used instead.
- The “search” box on the All-Branches-Graph no longer allows user input to be passed down to Git command-line executions. While this input was carefully sanitized, we have now disabled this functionality by default.
Additional notes:
- In some cases the free form git searching functionality can also cause performance problems since it executes “git log --grep=X”. In very large repositories (e.g., 100,000’s of commits) this could be quite slow.
- Admins can re-enable this behavior by changing the new “Allow free form git searching” config setting to “Yes”.
- v2026.05.15 maintained our clean security scan results. 0 security issues, 0 reliability issues, and 0 known vulnerabilities detected.
