    This plugin is not really useful as it is. It would make sense if (at least) the computer name were a regular Jira custom field that would be filled by the user during issue creation in Jira Service Desk. As it is, the admin has to know (or look up) the computer name and manually associate the issue with the computer.

    Hi Jan,

    Thank you for letting us know! We understand that association of the computer and the issue is rudimentary by nature, and that's something our development team is working on. As for our roadmap, requests from our users have always foregrounded. That said, we're also working on integrating with Jira Cloud wherein this association will be done seamlessly.

    In addition, this integration lays the platform for a plethora of other endpoint management functionalities that can be carried out right from the issue window. We have multiple IT administrators who are assertive about the benefits that one gets to reap from this integration. Let us know if there's anything else that you'd want us to add to our roadmap.

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new apps or Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Desktop Central - Endpoint Solution via search. Results include app versions compatible with your Jira instance.
    5. Click Install to download and install your app.
    6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.

    To find older Desktop Central - Endpoint Solution versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.
