This is basically a glorified link. Ideally, moqups wire frames should be embedded in the description of the issue, at the very least allow users to select which page of the project is visible and to open a preview without opening Moqups

Though the Moqups service itself is great and very useful, the Jira add-on is completely useless. I'm using Moqups and Jira for years and always dreamed about possibility to embed Moqups into Jira issues. Recently I received Moqups newsletter and saw there some good news! You've finally released an add-on for Jira Cloud! Wow, great! I tried to connect my accounts, but got an error message - my current plan (old Standard for $9, which I used for years) is not compatible with add-on. Pfff. Ok, wouldn't mind to switch to more expensive plan, I would agree to pay more for so-long-waited functionality. So I upgraded my plan to $19/month, connected my accounts, go to a Jira issue and see the Moqups section. Great! I connect the issue to one of my projects, and get the message "you are connected"! Super! But wait..., how can I use it? Is it really just a link to the Moqups project, and link to not even specific page in the project??? Only simple link??? It doesn't make sense at all. I was placing links in issue description to specific Moqups project pages for years. I was hoping that there will be possibility to EDIT the Moqups page right INSIDE the Jira issue! Or may be at least to VIEW a render of a Moqups page inside the issue. Did you guys really released an add-on, which creates a simple link?

      Hi Andrei,

This is Paul, Head of Enterprise at Moqups. I am sorry about your disappointment and frustration with our app.

It has always been our intention to improve it in response to user requests. That’s why I’m grateful for your feedback – and want you to know that your suggestions have already had an effect.

Earlier this year, we released our server version for both Jira and Confluence. Our goal was to deliver Moqups to Atlassian users with firewall restrictions. Soon thereafter, users without firewalls requested a Cloud version with the full spectrum of Moqups capabilities – without needing to attach projects via public links.

We are now working to improve Moqups for Jira Cloud, and you’ll be glad to know that one of these improvements directly addresses your point that a project thumbnail should open to a “specific page in the project”. This feature has already been added to our Confluence Cloud app, and we are working on its Jira implementation as well. It should be ready by early 2018.

As for your concern that projects open in their own tab – outside of the Jira window – that choice was deliberate; we wanted our current SaaS users to have a familiar Moqups experience within the Jira context.

Andrei, we want to ensure that our app provides the best experience for all our users, so I was wondering if you’d mind working with me directly, to help us understand your needs and suggestions.

If you are interested, please contact me at paul@moqups.com

      Best regards,

      Paul
