We use it for our confluence products and as a sharepoint centered organisation it is very usefull to be able to connect our documents directly. We needed some help by the support team and they helped us every time very fast and efficient. thanks!

This is a great tool for sharing Microsoft Content from SharePoint into Confluence. Overall, it's a perfect design - because we want our files and data to live on SP, but display it on confluence in context of other documentation. The App beautifully shows PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Movie files. And - Just released... Visio files - which is huge for teams doing engineering that need to diagram things out. It has helped our organization stick with Visio as our diagramming tool and still have confluence to share process documentation. Great Job ikuTeam! Thanks for adding the ability to see and edit visio files right from confluence!

The functionality is dissapointingly limited. It's effectively a preview tool. Any editing is done directly in sharepoint. A minor step above just placing a sharepoint link within confluence. With the delay in loading, small preview window, etc...just pop a link in and if you want to see it, open it in another tab/window. I've seen similar problems with the LucidChart integration. The preview take a long time to load, they never align within the preview window properly, and you have to leave Confluence to make any edits. It's really on Atlassian to step up their game with what we can do with their native functionality in a table, which continues to be a frustratingly limited amount. Macros break commenting and don't behave well together.

      Hi Ralph,

Thank you for taking the time to test and review our app. Yes, you can add links to the original files and folders from SharePoint to Confluence pages. No additional apps are required. But these are the top 3 things (among many others) that you will not get in Confluence with just the link approach:

      • In-Page document preview. You can navigate and scroll long Word documents, PowerPoint presentations or Excel Spreadsheets. You can configure the preview window size, header size, and more. So, if the default preview is too small, you can just change that to fit your Confluence page layout or content preview.

      • Folder Sharing. You can add a folder inside a Confluence page, with that folder, you will get a full file manager for it, allowing you to create new sub-folders, rename files, delete files/folders, and even upload files from the desktop to that SharePoint folder, all without leaving the Confluence Page context. You have one single source of truth that is always in sync.

      • Confluence users/groups-based permissions. You can define what users in Confluence can see/preview files or edit. So, a page can show a Spreadsheet or completely hide it depending on users' permissions.

You can book a free demo here, and we would love to show you how you can get the most out of our integration.

Kind regards, Team Files Support Team.

As a Sharepoint based organization this integration made life so much easier. We use it for both our JSM and Confluence products. We no longer have to worry about uploading new updated copies to tickets which is a life saver on time.

I've just tested the app for possible future integration and I find it really good as we are currently mostly based on SharePoint. We've started migration on Confluence but I guess we'll keep some bigger files and materials on SharePoint. This app provides a good and appealing approach to find and connect all necessary files to a Confluence page. Also, I've had an issue which was resolved really quickly and the support for the request was very good!
