    More details

InVision is the world's leading design collaboration platform for your end-to-end product design process. We empower teams of all size to design and build better, faster, together.

To help your team work better together, we’re excited to introduce InVision for Confluence, a quick and easy way to bring your design workflow right inside your workspace.

    How it works

Embed an InVision prototype on any Confluence page:

    • Grab a share link from your InVision prototype you’d like to include
    • Open a Confluence page in edit mode, paste the link and click publish

That’s it! A mini-prototype will show right inline, along with a handy link to the prototype inside InVision.

Like all InVision share links, the design and details inside will always be up to date, completely in sync with your current project (goodbye dated assets in threaded email chains!).

Promising but not delivering what we'd hope for. When sharing a link to a specific page of an InVision project, the thumbnail and title of that specific page do not appear, instead showing the general project's name and thumbnail, so every link on our specifications page matching different parts of the project look like it's always the same, which makes it confusing / untrustwhorthy to devs, making other means than using the plug-in more efficient, though also cumberson/inefficient. Really hoping for an update soon.

The preview is just too small to be of any use ... pity ....

At the current state, this plugin is useless. The only additional functionality that it provides over an external link is a thumbnail of the first screen displayed by the link (the expand button doesn't show the image at full size either). But it doesn't work if you put more than one link the page, and it takes a little bit to render. An external link is more useful than the plugin! It renders fast, provides the same functionality, and works with multiple links. If you need to sync particular screens use the Live Embed functionality of InVision... sadly is a little bit hidden: in your InVision project view (not the screen view), hover over the screen, select the Live Embed icon, choose Custom Embed... and use that link as image src

    Hi Diego,

Thank you for the feedback! We've recently released a new version of the app that should resolve the issue that prevented more than one link from rendering on a Confluence page. Please let us know if you're still having trouble with that.

I'd also be eager to learn more about how you'd like this plugin to work for your use case. If you'd be open to chatting, please shoot me an email a nitin[at]invisionapp.com.

    Nitin

When I add multiple share links to a Confluence page, it only show the first link as mentioned by others. It's also not showing an image by default (guess that's not something InVision can do anything about). Therefor this is more or less a useless plugin.

Unlike the video is showing it, I'm not able to embed prototypes in my confluence pages https://www.invisionapp.com/blog/confluence-trello/ I'm just able to add a link which is pretty useless to be honest. Am I missing something or is your video wrong ? Thanks

    Hi Nicolas,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the add-on. With the add-on enabled, when you paste an InVision Share Link into your document, it will trigger the macro and display the link with a small InVision logo. In the published view, this should render as a full-size widget that shows you the name of the prototype and a thumbnail preview which you can expand to have a larger size view of the Screen.

If you're having trouble getting that functionality to work, please do reach out to support@invisionapp.com as we would definitely like to help you troubleshoot!

Is this plugin still being developed InVision, last release was December 2018, still no support for Confluence (or Jira behind a proxy) despite a lot of requests. No use to us now as we have had to put a proxy in front of our Confluence instance.

Current version is quite deceptive ! This add-on is very very promising, please update it soon ! At the moment, no added value with thumbnail that you can turn into larger thumbnail. Please, make the preview much more useful (100% container width, scrollable, comments, expand configuration, ...) I love the idea, please, help us ! Thanks a lot !

Actual version provides simple way to put up to date small thumbnail of prototype in Confluence page. That works, you can even manualy enlarge that thumbnail when viewing, but to see full prototype you need to go to inVsion using link or just pressing image. That is OK. However Confluence can be used to create documentation or even analysis that are shared with client. Of course during process we uses both tools, but in the end I would like to hand my client a print-out or PDF of what we agreed to. That would require from add-on/plug-in macros to be exportable to PDF as images. At this point I get only blank space, not even a link to prototype. I see more then one way to do it: * plug-in allows to export images in default/customized size * plug-in allows to export titles and file names (to be attached to the documentation as an export/download from inVisionApp * both (thumbnail + title + filename) It seems as a good start, it has potential. I've used previous version of plugin add it was printed to PDF very well, after new release all is simplified, but a bit to much.

    Hi Andrzej,

Thank you for using our add-on and for your detailed feedback. We've had this request in the past and are definitely considering it for future releases!
