Note: You need administrator access to install add-on.

    More details

On-premises Jira can now be connected to Microsoft Teams. The recent update provides the connector functionality. Jira Server connector for Microsoft Teams doesn't require add-on installation - it uses the Jira Server built-in tools. Your Jira Server admin can easily set-up the connection to your Microsoft Teams.

Once the issue was created or updated Jira Server connector will submit the card with the following issue details into your team channel:

    • Issue summary
    • Description of the event
    • Priority, Issue type, Status
    • Assignee, Reporter
    • Comment

If you want the connector to send the notifications only on specific issues, you may always apply JQL filter to the Webhook configuration and get only essential updates on your system.

It's a decent connector. The only thing missing is the ability to display any custom fields in Teams

I met with Microsoft at the Atlassian Conference and it was my impression that the Teams Jira Server version would be able to create and edit from teams. It was demo'd for me there. Is this not available for the Server version?

This works well but what about two way interaction, for instance being able to create an Issue in Jira from MS Teams? In slack with use /jira createissue
