An application that simply displays a glossary as wikipedia does with such a per-user fee is grossly overpriced. First, it should be a feature of Confluence itself... But well, with 100 users, it's $1500/year for a simple glossary. A pure joke. And for that price : - you must tell all your users to install a chrome extension to see the highlights (sorry people who use firefox or safari) - the software can't handle the accents, so for a word with two accents like "déjà", you must add synonyms like "deja", "déja" and "dejà" for this plugin to handle it - It doesn't handle acronyms either! If you create IT for "Information Technology" for example, it will highlight "it" in any sentence like "It is cool!" (but it's not) The plugin itself works well but that's not the problem. It's far too expensive for so few features. At this price, it should put a coffee on my desk every morning.

    Hello Ronan,

I am sorry that our add-on did not provide what you expected. We have many users that value this extension and that are happy to use it.

I would be very happy to talk to you about any improvements that you may need in the add-on. If you are up for a discussion about that please let me know.

Highlighting terms in Confluence pages is unfortunately not easy in Cloud. This is due to restrictions imposed by Atlassian for security reasons. Still, it is a very valuable feature and we decided to provide two solutions to connect the glossary with your content:

    • Browser extensions for both Chrome and Firefox. These extensions highlight any terms in a page and provide the best experience for the user.
    • A "Page glossary" that can be added to a page. It contains all terms that appear in the page and will be visible for all users reading the page, no extension needed.

I understand that these may not be the optimal solutions, but it is the best we could achieve given the environment provided by Atlassian. Many users already use our browser extensions and are very happy about it.

    Thank you for your feedback!

    Best wishes

Easy add-on to set up and use. The developer has very quick response time for any questions asked and outstanding support for a minor issue we had. Highly recommend this if a glossary of terms is needed for your team(s). Randy

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
