Want to check number of instances of a keyword at all pages of space or want to replace all instances at selected pages in a click

Find Replace as per Page Context

After installation of plugin, a link at page context menu appears. Clicking on page's ...->Find and Replace will present an UI to do find and replace related task. This link will appear if page edit permission is there.

Check the keyword occurrence at different pages

User interface to do task of Find and replace is self explanatory. Find button can be used to list number of occurrences of search term at each page of space. Replace button can be used to replace term at selected pages.

Find replace summary report

Find replace utility also sends summary report stating all replaced instances along with surrounding text which can be used to verify if all replacements are as expected or not.

Find and Replace utility usage -

  • Checking number of instances of desired keyword at different pages of a space
  • Replace the keyword with some new keyword at desired pages of a space in single click
  • Updating reference links (spacekey, page name), attachments names, macro parameters etc
  • Control on Replace operation using configuration

Options for Find and Replace -

  • Whole word search - In case we want to search for whole word and not sub-string of word. Using keyword 'search' and selecting this option will look for word 'search' and will not match to searcher or searches.
  • Case Insensitive Search - By default Find and replace looks for word with Case sensitivity enabled.
  • Page Title Only Search - This option will Find and replace only in page titles not in content.
  • Exclude Storage tags - This option can be deselected to looks for term in Storage tags as well. For example inside html tag names or attributes or inside macro definitions. This option once selected updates plain text part only.
