    More details

Find and Replace utility can be used for -

    • Checking number of instances of desired keyword at different pages of a space
    • Replace the keyword with some new keyword at desired pages of a space in single click
    • Updating reference links (spacekey, page name), attachments names, macro parameters etc

Options for Find and Replace -

  • Whole word search - In case we want to search for whole word as for example 'Hive'. Search results will include instances where 'Hive' word was found. Otherwise if we search for 'Hive' without selecting Whole word search it will include instances where Hive was found within word as well (as in HiveStone).
  • Case Insensitive Search - By default Find and replace looks for word with Case sensitivity enabled.
  • Exclude Storage tags - By default search looks for term in Storage tags as well. For example inside <ri:attachment ri:filename="Confluence-Origami-Necktie.jpeg" /> or inside macro definitions. This option should be selected to update plain text only.

1 problem and 1 improvement request: 1) it is frustrating for enterprise wiki users to find new button on website menu. It would be better to have the option inside space admin / content tools 2) it would be great to have an option to support some variables in regexp that could be used both in "find" and "replace" fields. For example, find all macro1, copy parameter1 of this macro and replace all instances of macro1 with macro2 by copying parameter1. Real case is substitute "widget connector" videos with "iframe" videos.

I think you mean HTML Format is <tag>Hello</tag><tag>World</tag><tag>HelloWorld</tag>

Your expectation of result is as per thinking of content as plain text, which is not wrong. But practically we are working on storage format of Confluence and we need to replace the words in storage format itself. In practical scenario <tag> could come anywhere in between the word or even character. Considering all possible scenarios it is very difficult to take care of all cases that too with 100% surety that we are not messing up with the source data.

We thought about scenario pointed by you and best we can do is to report existence of such cases in our replacement report. We will include such reporting of non replacement of some instances due to such tagging scenario in near future.

This is a life saver. If you are a serious content creator, this is the plugin for you. It save a lot of time by automatically replacing all the instances of a word across the space. There are many instances where you would want to change a particular word across your documentation, correct spelling mistakes, switch between English and American styles. Without this plugin, you are doomed. Thank you for the great plugin, Hivestone!! I highly recommend this plugin.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
