    _____________________________________________

Most likely, you have already experienced that huge pile of email notifications Jira sends you every day.

Use Email Notifications Digest add-on for Jira to filter and group them into a single email digest with all important Jira issue updates.

It intelligently groups all the changes made by your colleagues first, and sends you a single email digest like a news feed.

Not only it collects the changes, but it groups changes by Jira issues no matter when an update happened.

So, you can quickly read everything of what happened to Jira issues over night or during the day.

There is a set of individual filters so each person can configure which events to receive in a digest and which updates to omit (like spam "Log Work" time updates for timesheets).

It's like a new generation of Jira notifications. Can't imagine how I lived without it before! I am using just issue digest feature for aggregated email updates as that fixes all of the spammy Jira emails. Also I find the built-in digest filtering quite helpful. Suggestion: turn off summary digest by default like you do with default Jira notifications. These updates are already delivered in issue digest emails. Thank you. Great work!

Plugin randomly turns off default jira notifications! Update: I did exactly as you described but even then your add-on silently disabled Jira default notifications . I can restore this behavior, with one click but how should I know that notifications are not working. In audit log I can see that jira did this change. This occurred three times in the last month and we lost every time a couple hours of notifications, which are vital for our business. Silently changing option in the background deserves only one star. Edit (30.05.2018): Thank you for bug fixing. I installed today new 2.1.1 version and will monitor. As soon as default notifications turn off itself autmatically I will uninstall and rate again one star. Edit(26.09.2018): The latest version messed up again default notifications on our Jira. This plugin is not enterprise ready. I enabled Instant updates for all users but you change from address in e-mails being sent. We really need digest feature but without messing up default Jira notifications.

    Hello Dorde,

    Thank you for the review!

In fact, Email Digest v2.1 automatically turns off the default Jira notification on purpose.

This is made in favor for an aggregated digest email notification.

There is a checkbox on a Global add-on Configuration page (Jira Administration -> Add-ons -> Manage add-ons -> Email Notifications Digest -> Configure button) to restore all the default Jira email notification schemes:

Select "Enable default JIRA notification emails" check box and save the changes to re-enable all previous Jira notification schemes.

Could you please adjust the rating if you managed to successfully restore the previous email notifications using that check box?

Also, we will consider making this NOT the default behavior in the future version of the add-on!

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update (2018-05-17):

Sorry you experienced this behavior. The add-on turns off default email notifications on each Jira restart.

The add-on will be updated to give Jira admin user control on whether Jira default email notifications should be disabled or not and not turned off by default. That will be made configurable per each Jira project.

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update 2 (2018-05-22):

We have released an update (v2.1.1) that does not turn off default Jira email notifications on Jira restart (if "Enable default JIRA notification emails" check box is selected and settings are saved on add-on's Global Configuration page).

Also, the default mode is still to turns off Jira's built-in email notifications and replace them with an aggregated digest email as this is the main purpose of the add-on - to reduce email notifications.

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update 3 (2018-05-30):

Thank you for the update! Should you have any issues with the update - please let us know.

Also, we are targeting the next week to release per-project Jira email notification on/off configuration.

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update 4 (2018-09-26):

The new v3.0.x version has three notification modes now: Instant Updates, Issue Digest and Summary Digest.

The add-on has to turn off default Jira emails in order to allow sending of Instant Updates through the add-on that can be filtered using "Which updates to send" configuration (e.g. to filter updates by some specific issue field - that is not available in the default Jira notifications).

Also, there is a better alternative to "Instant Updates" - Issue Digest mode. The add-on waits few minutes and collects issue updates then sends these updates in a single email called Issue Digest. This approach decreases the amount of emails significantly.

If there are some Jira projects that have to use Jira default emails then you can specify them as "Ignored Projects" in add-on's Global Configuration. In this case, the add-on will restore the previous Jira notification scheme of that project. Digested updates will be turned off for that project.

The add-on is using the default "From" email address specified in Jira Administration -> Outgoing Mail page to send emails.

Could you please send a little bit more details to support@reliex.com to help us understand how "From" email is configured on your Jira Server? Maybe we can find a way on how to customize it together.

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update 5 (2018-10-08):

Added back a possibility to preserve all the default Jira notifications schemes at Global Configuration -> Advanced Configuration section -> Ignored Projects block (alternatively, it is possible to use the improved 'Instant Updates' mode that sets 'From' email address based on each project notification setting now).

    Thanks, Reliex Team

We started using this notification plugin, displays better al changes made on issue. Improvements to be done: - Layout configurations (to match identity of company) / if possible please tell us how. Including change on Footer. - Create an overview panel to see all users and their notification settings. (for example, we want to make sure some clients receive and some others dont) We have created groups, but overview is difficult.

    Hi Christian,

Glad to hear you found the digest email helpful!

Could you please send a little bit more details about layout customization and users overview panel improvements to support@reliex.com address? A mock up or an annotated screenshot will be very helpful to understand the use cases.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks, Reliex Team

    Update (2018-10-08):

Based on your suggestions, we have added an enhanced email customization (custom header logo, adjustable text and background colors, extra footer html section) as well as a new administrative feature to manage Personal digest configuration of other users.

Both of these features are available in v3.1.0 now. Hope you will find them handy!

    Thanks, Reliex Team

Very useful to have all notifications in a single email and grouped per issue; save yourself from getting hundreds of useless emails for every attribute changed and give your time and attention to what really matters! Keep up the good work!

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

This app does not have a a Data Center approved version. Only apps meeting a set of performance requirements for large, clustered environments are approved for Data Center.

However, while server apps are built for single-server deployments, many customers successfully install them in Data Center products. If you're using a Data Center product, Atlassian recommends you contact the vendor to determine compatibility at scale.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app does not have a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Server license if you decide to install this app in a Data Center product.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
