Optimizer for Jira (Health Checks & Cleanup)

Essential tool for any Jira admin. The health checks and cleanup features make it so much easier to keep our instance well-maintained and performant. Saves us a huge amount of manual effort auditing configurations and identifying unused fields or projects. A Jira admin's best friend.

Working on many complex migrations, Optimizer helps me tremendously in identifying unnecessary setup and cleaning up cloud instances.

Update: Upgrading my review based on outstanding customer support I received from Matthew J. @ Appfox he took the time to reach out with thoughtful emails, empathy, and a genuine desire to rectify the situation. I'll leave my previous comments to stand, but the care I received from the team was above & beyond what I expected. ______________________________________________________________________________ Original: Changed pricing from free up to 10 users to $5 without notification or asking consent, not a great way to do business, I don't mind folks charging money for their products, but don't just try to take money from your customers, it's unprofessional and makes people lose trust in you.

As a consultant, I use this tool to help analyze my client's instances more quickly. They see the value as I walk them through the dashboard of what needs to be addressed while also showcasing what has been done well. From a personal POV, the reports also show the IDs of items such as custom fields, screens, and even workflows! Thus eliminating the headache of multiple clicking to get just one ID! From a governance perspective, this app does a great job of identifying duplicate items and their usage rate. My clients tend to keep Optimizer after the trial due to the ease of use and the time it saves them running countless queries. For these reasons, this is my favorite in the Atlassian marketplace to date!
