Thank you for your feedback, Angela! We are delighted to hear that you found the SoftComply Risk Manager useful for you.
We have now implemented the features you have asked. Namely, we have added additional column types to the risk table that allow you to capture different types of data about your risks.
In addition to text areas for longer descriptions, we have also added Select and MultiSelect fields that are often used to highlight the subsystem the risks are originating from; Links that are used to link to any other Jira Issue or an ordinary URL; user picker for assigning creator or mitigator of the risk; date for creation or mitigation; Custom Fields; etc.
All those fields are also searchable. In other words, you can use Jira search queries to get relevant information e.g. “Please provide all risks with harm “Some harm value”, “Provide all risks with Probability value “Probable” and Severity value “Severe””, etc. Thereafter you can use these results to display the information on Jira dashboards and/or send results periodically to your email!
- Kind regards, SoftComply Team

Thank you, Tom, for your positive review! We are happy to hear that our product provides you the support you were looking for in managing your medical device risks! - SoftComply Team

Dear Marlene,
Thank you for your positive feedback about the SoftComply Risk Manager.
All risk management table fields in the SoftComply Risk Manager have for some time now been replaced with unlimited text area fields. This supports the longer descriptions of risk fields as well as importing of your risks to the Risk Manager from Excel.
We are currently working on the approval of the risk data (table as well as reports) within the Risk Manager. We will let you know asap when this is available.
- Kind regards, SoftComply Team

Thanks for your feedback and your constructive improvement suggestions, Rickard!
We have now added additional column types to our Risk Management table that support longer text fields to be added into the table. In addition to text areas, you can also add Select and MultiSelect fields that are often used to highlight the subsystem the risk is originating from; Links that are used to link to any other Jira Issue or an ordinary URL; user picker for assigning creator or mitigator of the risk; date for creation or mitigation; Custom Fields; etc.
1. In regard to importing risks – SoftComply Risk Manager uses Jira’s own import feature and as such we have no control over this particular feature. We have opted not to rewrite something that Atlassian itself has already implemented but focus on adding new features for Risk Management instead.
2. User enabled risk sorting has now been added to the features – users can disable the auto sorting of the data in the risk management table and choose the column by which to sort the data instead. Filtering the data by any column is also available.
3. Issuetypes can be changed and the name of issuetype does not affect Risk Manager in any way. SoftComply has decided to add as little additional configuration as possible into Your Jira instance, but you can add new issuetype and assign it to the risk project yourself as needed. Sometimes Jira administrators can be quite defensive about their configuration setup, so we aim to leave them the freedom to change everything in their organization as they see fit without forcing our configuration upon them.
4. Risk Matrix/Risk Model is completely customizable and whatever labels you use there will automatically be seen also in the table when you select Probability/Severity.
- Kind regards, SoftComply Team

Thank you for your great feedback, Jussi! We are happy to know that you have found the Risk Manager useful and we would like to let you know that we have now implemented several features that you requested.
We have added additional column types to the risk table that allow you to capture different types of data about your risks.
We have also added Exporting to Pdf for the risk table and risk model, which allow you to store a snapshot of risks in time for the purposes of risk versioning.
Users are now also able to sort the data in the risk table by a column of their own choosing (disabling the auto sorting) as well as filter each column of the risk table.
While SoftComply Risk Manager comes with an out-of-the-box template for Hazard Analysis, the SoftComply Risk Manager Plus supports also FMEA in addition to the Hazard Analysis. FMEA templates include risk models with either 2 or 3 risk parameters, i.e. either Occurrence and Severity OR Occurrence, Severity and Detectability parameters. Users can also calculate and visualize their Initial and Residual Risks in Risk Pioritization Numbers instead of Risk Matrices. As always, everything in the table and risk model is fully customizable by the user.
- Kind regards, SoftComply Team

Pricing FAQ
- How does cloud app pricing work?
Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.
When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.
If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.
- How do I determine my cloud pricing?
Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Management (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Management, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.
The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:
- Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
- Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
- Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.
Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.
- Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?
Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.
- Can I extend my free trial?
For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
Pricing FAQ
- How does server app pricing work?
Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).
You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).
If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.
- How do I determine my server pricing?
Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Management (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Management, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.
- Can I install this app in a Data Center product?
Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.
- What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?
Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.
If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.
- Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?
For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.
Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.
- Can I extend my free trial?
For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.
- How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?
If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:
- Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
- Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
