The inline-able summaries for projects and merge requests are nice. For issues it's returning 500 errors. If that worked and it also did summaries for epics and milestones it'd be a pretty nice plugin. My ideal GitLab plugin would also allow embedding boards and roadmaps from GitLab.

Hello Brad,
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your interest and time.
Glad to hear that summaries work fine for you.
In relation to the 500 error, you need to contact our support, so that we can help. There are many reasons that you can see that.
The boards/roadmaps embedding is a very good idea, we have tried to do it. However, it is not technically possible due to security concerns (iframe embedding is forbidden).
Thank you again and hope to solve you issues you have.
Regards,

Hello Vasilijs,
Thank you for your review.
Could you please elaborate on it? We cannot act on this without more details.

Shame it does not support rendering gitlab files within Confluence.

Thank you for your negative review.
We didn't promise this and did advertise that this is supported.

Update: Its great that a party actually acts to reviews. Made it a two star. I am looking forward to the self-hosted capabilities and I will change the review again accordingly. Old: No self-hosted on-peremises gitlab support while claiming that there is support for it on the overview page of this app (Gitlab for Confluence). As written by George Weir on the 27th of november 2022. On the app overview page there is clearly an image showing a different configuration method then the actual product. The image shows you can select a Gitlab server type and it shows two options, cloud and server. Next to the image the following text is written (quote): "Easy configuration of Gitlab Confluence connection Simple configuration over the admin interface with a couple of clicks. Support Gitlab Cloud (SaaS) and self-hosted on-premises Gitlab." Therefore the reaction on George Weir by Leo quote "We never implemented it and never planned to," and "We are collecting the demand for on-premise support." seems extremely weird since you state on the overview page itself that the support is already there. However i installed the app (12 jan 2023) before reading the reviews. The configuration for self hosted instances is not there and the support/documentation links also do not show a self-hosted option. Therefore it is not usefull for us and a one star review because of misleading overview description. (I will change the review if the support is added or the overview page is updated)

UPDATE 2023-03-13: We now support GitLab On-Premise (you must use Internet-accessible URLs).
Hello Steven,
Thank you for your feedback. Very much appreciated.
We are already working on the On-Premise support for the cloud version. It should be going public in Feb.
The image and text are from the DC app (sorry), and we will change it today to not mislead and overpromise.
UPDATE: We have updated the description and the images.
Thank you again,
Leo
