Refined Toolkit for Confluence (Content Formatting Macros)

We've been using the Refined Toolkit alongside Refined for Confluence Cloud for several months now and have found it to be great. We've used both these tools to develop and launch a large internal Hub for our ~3500 staff which looks SO much better than native Confluence! We had very high expectations of the visual look and feel for this project, and the features in the toolkit made it possible. Particularly, the UI tabs, UI buttons, UI Expand and UI Steps macros were invaluable. Together these enabled us to condense a lot of content into a smaller number of pages. We experienced very few issues using this tool, but any problems we did have we reported to the Refined team who were super responsive and helpful.

Not enough configuration options on the cloud offering to meet our needs. Looks like it would be great if it had the same functionality as the server version but the cloud version is missing vital features, like menu customisation etc

  Confluence Cloud offers a different technical setup than what Confluence Server does, and due to this we are not able to provide the same functionality as with the server version, otherwise that would be our wish as well. We’ll be working with the Cloud version continuously adding more possibilities and features.

Makes no sense for me, no choice of good designs, does not work on a selected space. End of trial after wasrting 20 minutes of my time.

  Thanks for your feedback. We're grateful for any and all feedback to help make this a better product. Please bare in mind this is still a new add-on and we are making great progress with Atlassian to improve it.

  With regard to the choice of designs, the bundled designs are meant as starting points and inspiration for you to create your own customized theme using the Theme Editor. If you feel that the editor is missing some features for you to create a theme we would really appreciate your suggestions!

  With regard to the comment, "does not work on a selected space", that sounds like a bug. It would be great if you could report it to support.refinedwiki.com or email support@refinedwiki.com.

With simple text content, it looks good, but tables, links to documents and more complex formatting just don't work. The editing of content in Confluence and the final result when presented with Refined constantly generates surprises and leads to searching for detours that can even get the content displayed in some acceptable way. Many macros don't work, so with Refined, some of Confluce's functionality remains untapped. One of the biggest flaws when using social intra is the loss of commenting. The ability to give feedback to the author of the page does not replace this, because the feedback cannot even be answered and the feedback is not visible publicly. Refined isn't so refined with Confluence Cloud.

  From the description, it sounds like this is in regards to our Refined for Confluence Cloud app, and not Refined Toolkit for Confluence Cloud. Refined for Confluence Cloud works as a parallel SaaS to the native Confluence Cloud, and we present content from Confluence on parallel Sites outside of the native Confluence UI.

  We’re investing heavily on our cloud apps, and while we may currently face some limitations due to the infrastructure on cloud, we are working towards improvements in the areas you have mentioned going forward. If you haven’t already done so, please reach out to us over at support.refined.com with details on the macros that you are using that do not work as expected, and we can investigate this further.

Was breaking Confluence in so many ways. UI Elements were not handled appropriatey, etc. Opted to just get rid of it.

  If we understand correctly, the issue you had was due to an update Confluence was undergoing (an update to the way Confluence renders items that was out of our control). The update is now complete, so we can recommend giving RefinedSpaces another go.
