Easy-to-use and convenient application. Useless for next-gen projects but really good for classic ones.

First of all, love the tool and the its versatility in visualising product backlog. I do have couple of requests / suggestions: - We're primarily using the tool to map out Epic level work for the coming quarter or two. It could great if you could consider adding some kind of visual progress indication for Epics, similar to what Atlassian introduced in their road map view for Next-Gen projects. - It would be great if you had another category of markers, aimed specifically to denote specific time-boxed period, e.g. Sprints and quarters. Just so you know, we currently decided to use the version marker for this purpose, which kinda works but introduces a large amount of fictitious versions in the Jira native releases view. Keep up with the good work!

    Hi Yossi,

Thank you for your review and suggestions.
    • Unfortunately we are unable to show Epic progress on the Cloud version of Easy Agile Roadmaps. We are currently waiting on Atlassian to make the required API endpoint available to us, so that we can access Epic statistics. We have raised a ticket with Atlassian for this, and you can read more about it here.
    • Currently the only timescales supported on the Roadmap are weeks, months and quarters. We do have an existing story on our backlog to show your Board's Sprints on your Roadmap, which I have made sure to add your vote and comments to. As an interim solution to help with the creation of fictitious Jira versions, could you create 'Date Markers' rather than new Jira Versions to visualise your Sprints on the Roadmap? This would allow you to visualise Sprint timeboxes on your Roadmap without overloading the fix versions.

Thanks Yossi, if you have any other questions or suggestions please also feel free to reach out to our team at support@easyagile.com

Great first impression but we're missing some essential features to be really useful: - indication of epic progress. In other comments i read because it's missing from jira api. Is it possible to add a custom field so we can add the progress manually for the time being? - sprint display (we use a workaround with markers for the time being) - because we are working with multiple teams it would really help to make visible which teams will work on an epic (we use the swimlanes for themes) - when using many themes and epics, it is very difficult to get a high-level overview (for stakeholders). It would help if you could see the start and end dates of the associated epics for a collapsed theme.

Thanks for your feedback on our app.

    • Epic progress is visible on the card for Server customers. It is shown just below the epic colour and you can hover over to see more details.
    • We have a story in our backlog to see sprints within the roadmap. I have added your vote to the ticket and we will reach out when the feature is available.
    • We love to hear more about how you define teams so we can consider an appropriate solution for you.
    • We would be keen to learn more about what you're thinking for this last point as we can see how lots of themes and epics would make high level communications more difficult.

Please feel free to send through any additional details to support@easyagile.com so we can assist you further.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide this feedback,

This is a great tool for roadmapping. Some things I enjoy - Really easy to get started -D rag and drop support - Any type of issue can be added to a roadmap, not just epics. - Grouping by themes - Easy to view be quarter/week/month Would be great if they could also add support for initiatives.

Great tool, exactly what I was looking for! I appreciate the high flexibility when putting the issues on the roadmap. I struggle a bit with the visibility of the issue titles. Issues that don't last long (e.g. only in one sprint) typically don't show the full issue title but only the first ~8 characters. I'm using the monthly view as it gives me a good long-term view, so using the weekly view is not really an option for me as it is too short-term focused. Maybe you could implement a few of the following suggestions in order to increase the visibility of the issue titles: - A new option to hide the issue ID and use its space for the title instead - A new option to hide the issue type - Horizontal zooming (continuous, not discrete as in weeks/months/quarters) - Use multiple lines for issue title Another wish of mine is to add scrum sprints to the markers menu (as Nicolas has already wished for).

    Hi Simon,

Thanks for the feedback. We have an issue on our backlog to display sprints on the Roadmap. I've added added a vote for you and we'll let you know when it is available.

We're looking at ways to improve the legibility of shorter schedules and really appreciate your suggestions. I've expanded the story on our Backlog for this issue with your comments. Thanks a lot!

Hi Nicolas, thanks for the feedback.

We have a story on our backlog to display sprints on the roadmap. I've made a note to follow up here and let you know when it is available.

As for your second query, we can not generate a date-based roadmap within issues, can you elaborate? I'm not quite sure what you are looking for here. Happy to switch to email (support@easyagile.com) if you prefer.

Thanks so much, have a great day.

    (1) Not all features are in Epics. Some are just Users Stories. (2) Planning Epic is useless and lake granularity, as within an Epic, there will be some stories part of say release 1 and other release 2 and 3. Therefore, to base a roadmap on purely Epics makes the product irrelevant. You just need to add US and I buy it!

UPDATE: Easy Agile Roadmaps now supports displaying issues of any type.Hi Gerald, thanks for your feedback.

Easy Agile Roadmaps is focused on proving a Product Manager, team and stakeholder's a high-level visualisation of a product for a set period of time. Where other tools might focus on giving the Technical Program Manager a Gantt-style, granular overview of the program as a whole, we made the conscious decision not to include user stories to keep this visualisation high-level. You can read more about our philosophy around this distinction in this blog post.

This is a great looking and easy to use piece of software. Every time I demo this internally, it is met with a lot of enthusiasm and sparks a ton of great ideas for building out roadmaps. Unfortunately, this always leads to looking at alternatives to this product, because as other have mentioned, there is simply not enough customizations to make this a useful enough tool at our level. For smaller orgs, this could be great, but then again, they already have free roadmaps in NextGen projects in cloud, but I'll leave that alone. :) For us, we could not put the drop down or user picker fields that were important to us on the card view, so the the deal was effectively sealed. Easy Agile was citing a lack of support to the card API from Atlassian, however they are choosing to rely on something that doesn't exist rather than build their own functionality. This app gets 2 stars for an amazing idea, and a beautiful UX, but loses 2 stars for a lack of features and our inability to order. I for one, am going to continue to watch updates in the future though, because with a little more functionality, this would crush all other roadmap add-ons!

I think is a useful tool, but could be better. We have identified 3 key features to get a quick view on project status : 1. Be able to change row colors. Customize the color by status . 2. Be able to customize ticket quick view with fields that really add value to anybody who wants to get a quickly overview of the project. For instance, we would like to watch the last comment in ticket when you click on the title inside the pop up. 3. Be able to customize the color of the status project icon inside the row. The icon at the button right. Thank you.

For 6500 dollars I would have expected: Customizable colors for date markers Customizable symbols/icons for date markers We have several critical dates that aren't being captured using fixVersions like feature toggling and deployments. We have to be able to differentiate between these instantly at a glance vs having to squint to find the info. I'm happy to change the rating once these are implemented :)

Hi Alan, thanks for the feedback.

We've had a story for that on the backlog for a long time. Your review spurred the team into action and I'm happy to say that our just released version 3.3.5 includes the ability to customize the color of the date markers.

With respect to the custom symbols / icons on date markers - are you just looking to add emoji to the name of that date marker? If so, you can do that today - I just tested and it's actually quite neat.

Thanks so much Alan, greatly appreciate your feedback.

    Hi Andrey,

Board Administrators are able to edit the roadmap. If you want to have a separate roadmap that the team can't edit I recommend you copy the existing agile board and make yourself the only board administrator.

    Thanks Andrey.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
