High price, poor quality: 1. You cannot re-order the Epics in the list on the left (more over, default order is pretty weird) 2. No Confluence integration 3. The only way of reporting is PDF export, which is extremely buggy: - Done Epics are shown as Open (or In Progress) - Epics progress is not represented at all 4. Taking into account mentioned above bugs, the whole idea of PDF export does not make sense at all. Who needs reports with incorrect data?? 5. And finally: there is no vertical scroll element. So, you can't even make a full screenshot of your roadmap with advanced screenshot tools. Which means there is NO any kind of export (that represents correct data) or report at all.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew. Sorry we let you down.

You are correct, it is not possible to reorder the epics in the left hand panel. The epics in the panel are ordered by rank (or if they are not, make sure the filter for your agile board has 'ORDER BY Rank' in the clause). This is the first time I've heard a customer request the ability to reorder the epics in that panel. I'm happy to add it to the backlog and solicit feedback from other customers. It would be great context to know why that is important in your scenario - I'll follow up via email.

As for Confluence integration, we'd love to have that. Honestly the technical hurdles of a Jira app presenting a macro in Confluence are overwhelming at present. Atlassian has this on their backlog.

With respect to reporting we've found customers are educating their stakeholders and leadership to check the roadmap directly as it is always up to date. Leveraging the agile board settings for Board Administrator means the Product Manager remains in control and there are no accidental updates. We've got a story on the backlog for email notifications when the roadmap changes, perhaps on a weekly basis for example. Would that be of interest?

Thanks for flagging the issues with the PDF export. We've got these on the backlog and will get them fixed. Epic Progress for Jira Cloud customers is blocked as Atlassian does not provide the API for this yet, tracked here.

    Regards,

    Nick Muldoon

A powerful tool that cuts to the chase of roadmaps. We use it to help keep all of our teams aligned with where we are going as an organisation.

Not suitable to our needs as you cannot manually edit the dates of an epic. Nor can you shrink it down far enough, in some cases, to cover the actual dates in your roadmap
    Was this review helpful?YesNo
    Easy Agile

Hi Steve, Thank you for the feedback, we love to learn about how our customers use Easy Agile Roadmaps and how we can improve their experience.

In regards to epic dates not being manually editable, each epic can have multiple start and end dates. This allows you to schedule them multiple times across themes and even other boards. Unfortunately a single custom field is not compatible with this highly requested feature.

We understand your frustration and are currently looking to explore how to introduce this functionality without clashing with other Jira functionality teams may use. Please reach out to us at support@easyagile.com if you have any thoughts or ideas around this, we would greatly value your input.

    Kind Regards,

    Seamus Kieran

Good potential but basic features are not present: - no Sprint vision - we can not generate a date-based roadmap within issues

Hi Nicolas, thanks for the feedback.

We have a story on our backlog to display sprints on the roadmap. I've made a note to follow up here and let you know when it is available.

As for your second query, we can not generate a date-based roadmap within issues, can you elaborate? I'm not quite sure what you are looking for here. Happy to switch to email (support@easyagile.com) if you prefer.

Thanks so much, have a great day.

    (1) Not all features are in Epics. Some are just Users Stories. (2) Planning Epic is useless and lake granularity, as within an Epic, there will be some stories part of say release 1 and other release 2 and 3. Therefore, to base a roadmap on purely Epics makes the product irrelevant. You just need to add US and I buy it!

UPDATE: Easy Agile Roadmaps now supports displaying issues of any type.Hi Gerald, thanks for your feedback.

Easy Agile Roadmaps is focused on proving a Product Manager, team and stakeholder's a high-level visualisation of a product for a set period of time. Where other tools might focus on giving the Technical Program Manager a Gantt-style, granular overview of the program as a whole, we made the conscious decision not to include user stories to keep this visualisation high-level. You can read more about our philosophy around this distinction in this blog post.

It isn't clear how to disable editing roadmap by other team members as developers. Any suggestions?

    Hi Andrey,

Board Administrators are able to edit the roadmap. If you want to have a separate roadmap that the team can't edit I recommend you copy the existing agile board and make yourself the only board administrator.

    Thanks Andrey.

It is so far a great tool. Would be more great if it had the following functionality: - Search for "unpublished epics". We have hundreds of epics and it is annoying to scroll through especially if they are not ordered numerically. - Ability to show the "status" of the epic - whether it is already in progress, to do, blocked, etc - My "Theme" names get cut off over ~15 characters but there is all this blank space on the horizontal title bar for the theme. It just just show all of the text for the theme name.

Simple to use. Doesn't require extra unnecessary inputs like company vision etc like most competitors. Reasonably priced. Responsive support and dev team. Simple integrations to jira epics and version release dates. Will be recommending 👍

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

This app does not have a a Data Center approved version. Only apps meeting a set of performance requirements for large, clustered environments are approved for Data Center.

However, while server apps are built for single-server deployments, many customers successfully install them in Data Center products. If you're using a Data Center product, Atlassian recommends you contact the vendor to determine compatibility at scale.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app does not have a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Server license if you decide to install this app in a Data Center product.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
