    i am currently using the lite version of this product and thinking of moving to a paid version but my problem is that i have a rule that sends an email when an issue is created. the problem is that when users reply back to that email to update the jira ticket, it takes the email and sends it back in html format without rendering it properly. this seems to persist only on outlook as gmail handles it well.

    How the reply gets parsed and added to the issue is unfortunately not up to us. It is the email handler in Jira core that does this so we can't control it.

    I like the capability of the product except that when I email myself the results from a query that runs on a schedule. The results are mailed to me once per row that is returned. It makes emailing results useless because of the many email. If you could fix that it would be great!

    Glad you are enjoying the capability of Automation for Jira so far. As responded to in your support case - while 'processing issues in bulk' is available for Server users, we don't support this for Cloud right now. Due to the nature of the cloud-add ons from Atlassian, this is a difficult one to implement.

    It is in our backlog however (see link below) so we will let you know once released: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-888

    We are working hard to bring this and other new features to Cloud.

    Reviews are really important for us so I wonder if you could reconsider your rating since we believe a review should be about the whole plugin and not necessarily a single feature.

    I'm very happy with this plugin. I've been able to quickly automate things that would have otherwise required a workflow change or post-function. And I've also been able to automate things that aren't easily achieved any other way. And their support has been very quick to answer any questions.

    Automation for Jira has made our Jira implementation unbelievably flexible and has enabled me to do so much more than what I have permissions for in Jira. It's a necessary purchase for anyone using Jira, IMHO! Well worth it!! Also, Code Barrel has amazing customer support. Can't recommend this app enough!

    Fantastic plugin that makes writing complex automations simple. Reduces the need for Scriptrunner, which is incredibly powerful but costly in implementation timescales and introduces technical debt in the form of a maintenance overhead. The support team are also incredibly fast and helpful (even when the answer was already in their excellent documentation!) Would love to see support for JSD 'Customer Request Type', but guess we need to wait for Atlassian to make this available over the API...

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for host products and apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud products and apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 host product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.
    • If per-user pricing is not yet available for this app, please contact the vendor for further information.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    How does server app pricing work?

    Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my server pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

    For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

    How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Automation for Jira via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Automation for Jira. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Automation for Jira begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.

    To find older Automation for Jira versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Find new add-ons screen loads.
