    I have proposed this to one of our business teams and have got a green signal to proceed.. They want to Automate and track weekly , monthly , Quarterly and Annual tasks to provide Audit reports if these were delivered on due date or after due date .. What the best possible way to do that ... does the recurring feature allows multiple incidents to be created using a single rule .. Since we have approx 150 monthly and 150 quarterly incidents that requires to be created on recurring basis I Have create a request to the team Your reference is CBS-9274. Back to help center

    Yes, Automation for Jira does indeed provide the ability to set scheduled triggers and set recurring tasks. For example, here is a use case for monthly recurring tasks.

    I'm quite happy with what this product does - the automations and interface for building/editing them are far better than what JIRA offers natively, and they have triggers and actions for nearly everything I have wanted to do.

    I am happy with the plug in and will be moving to the paid version. I am very happy that the plug in allows me to change the Issue Type. I am not happy that it does not allow me to change the Operational Categorization or Product Categorization. Both capabilities are opposite of what I would have anticipated as I would think this plugin would have the same capabilities as the regular automation, but be easier to interface with. As a result, I am very limited in what I use the plug in for.

    delighted to hear you are happy with Automation in general.

    I understand what you mean about not being able to change the Operational and Product Categorization. While you can do this in the Server Version of Automation for Jira, for Cloud - currently, there is no REST API endpoint from Atlassian to make that change. There's a feature request to get that added.

    Hopefully that gets shipped soon and we can add this ability for Cloud also.

    Any other help you need with your rules, just shoot through a message!

    A must-have add-on for JIRA when your scenario has a minimun complexity. It allows you to extend Jira with a lot of useful processes and actions in a very intuitive way. Also its support team has a quick response time when you contact them and they are open mind on suggestions to improve this app.

    Automation for Jira has made our Jira implementation unbelievably flexible and has enabled me to do so much more than what I have permissions for in Jira. It's a necessary purchase for anyone using Jira, IMHO! Well worth it!! Also, Code Barrel has amazing customer support. Can't recommend this app enough!

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Automation for Jira via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Automation for Jira. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Automation for Jira begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
