    Overall, I am quite happy with Backbone. Our organization participates in a consortium, and both of us use JIRA for issue tracking. Backbone allows me to include the consortium's issue in our own sprint planning boards, making developer scheduling much easier. The configuration is straightforward once you figure out a few things. I would definitely recommend setting it up on development instances before moving to production. As with any software that isn't developed in-house, there are things that would be nice to work differently, but overall this definitely meets our needs and I'd recommend others give it a try.

    I'm overall satisfied with the product. It doesn't exactly meet my requirements, but it works stable enough to use it in production. What should be improved is: * Overall configuration performance. The sync itself works quite fast. But the configuration UI is quite slow (waiting 5-10s for responses etc.). * Implement tempo fields mapping: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/BAC-1116 * Show the sync progress. Right now it's a blackbox and it's not visible what the system is doing * Create a button "Resync" on the issue itself. Sometimes I wanted to just sync an issue again, but had to walk all the way through the configuration screen to do it (or edit the issue somehow). The support was helpful (even though some feature requests couldn't be processed yet).

    We were hoping to use this to sync a Jira Server to Jira Cloud. The mappings for usernames are not customizable enough to map user lastnamefirstintital to firstname.lastname. I found another addon that syncs that is able to do this. If K15t were able to add this I would buy it. This addon allows you to map usernames to a custom text field if they do not match, but that is all.

    This is an update to my prior 2 star review: Now that Backbone Sync incorporates workflows, this addon became my goto module for syncing 2 jira cloud instances within our organization (and I have tried them all). So far, it seems to be working very well and I have no problems currently. I do believe it's important to read through the documentation, especially when it comes to overriding specific field mappings and syncing sprints. Beyond the above, one significant feature I would like to see is syncing the order of the backlog. We are a SCRUM team and the specific order is very important.

    Here is what one of our contractors had to say about this add-on: "We've spent the whole day trying to pair the two systems, and looks like the integration is not working well enough for us to use it in such a mission critical environment. It synchronizes, but it doesn't sync the updates from time to time, and it also stops syncing if tasks were deleted."

    Great add-on with a reliable and fast support team. We had a major issue after an update. The K15t support team helped us solving this issue with very short response times. They made us feel that we were in good hands and offered a fast and easy understandable solution for our problem. They offered screen sharing and step by step instructions to get everything back to a normal state. Keep up the good work! There are definitely some things to improve regarding the functionality of Backbone Issue Sync. For example: - Synchronize Issue Links - Notify administrators (or defined users) when there is an error - Do not show panel when there is no integration configured

So I'm happy to tell you that you can synchronize issue links now as well as getting notified and also the panel is not shown by default in projects where Backbone is not configured.

    The best add-on at Atlassian for syncing Jira instances. After much research and evaluation I decided to give this a try, and I am so glad I did, since I found a permanent solution for our needs. There were a few glitches setting this up initially, but with the team responding so quickly, I got past them pretty fast, only to realize it does exactly what I wanted. I have a request in for a feature and looks like it is set up for release this sprint. All in all, a very good backbone team.

    We use Backbone Issue Sync for JIRA in an enterprise environment. The demand for the job was high and required a series of tweaks along the way, but in the end, this tool has bridged a gap of communication which has unified many isolated islands. The best indication, that we had landed on the right tool for the job, was the quality of support we received from K15T. They reached out on more than one occasion and scheduled conference calls to address any issues, concerns, and to properly plan the out the direction we needed to go. It was more than a pleasure to point out a specific issue, that was impacting our solution, only to see it fixed and released in the next version.

    We have been using the Backbone plugin for several months. Before we decided to use it we had evaluated a few other solutions. We have seen significant improvements since version 2 (currently we use v.3.4.2) and our verdict can be summarized as follows: for all practical JIRA-JIRA integration purposes the plugin is s a good compromise between its functionality and ease of configuration and use. It does its job well; some other solutions (JIRA plugins) may do just as well , but what distinguishes this plugin is how intuitive and straightforward is setting it up. No scripting, and almost all config options being common sense and easily understood. Also we did not have problems with support (have submitted a number of support requests – the support was timely and adequate. A couple of improvements were accepted and a couple of bugs fixed. For JIRA-JIRA integrations one should look no further.

    Hello! We are service development company and use own Jira, but some of our customers want to use they own Jira. In this case - we need to copy all data from customer's Jira into own. The question is: if we have to install this plugin into both - own and customer's Jira servers for copying FROM external TO own Jira only? Because it can be an issue... we looking for a way to install a sync solution into own Jira only.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
