I have recently tried QMetry with JIRA and I must say this tool works extremely well with JIRA. A representative contacted me soon after applying for the trial and provided a demonstration that was very useful, answering all of the questions I had aligning the demo to my requirements. Having used many test tools in my career, this is easy to install, set up and use, provides all of the test functionality we need to use and is pretty cost efficient. Thank you QMetry for the demo.

Thank you Avril. It was a pleasure to set up the demo for you and we are glad that you found it useful. You can find more information related to using QMetry for test management inside Jira on our product pages - https://www.qmetry.com/qmetry-test-management-for-jira/.

Thank you for your time and feedback.

    Best Regards,

During the first few days of evaluating Qmetry, a Qmetry representative got in touch with me. He gave a video and online about Qmetry. So besides documentation inside JIRA on Qmetry and JIRA interface, the online demo was useful especially for people who are still new to Jira like me. The online demo on made the learning process on JIRA and Qmetry a lot easier and faster. The online demo answered some questions on JIRA and Qmetry such as 1. how to map a JIRA story or JIRA task to a test and vice versa, 2. how to create a JIRA defect and connect it to a story, and/or test case and vice versa, and 3. the possibility of logging a defect without connecting it to a test case. I was also impressed with Qmetry’s Exploratory Testing feature and functionality which records actions or steps performed when testing without the use of test cases. This is a feature that I haven’t seen in the other QA test management tool we evaluated. During the demo, he also informed me about the related test automation tool Qmetry Automation Studio. The demo was very helpful!

Great tool. I particularly liked the reporting feature as you get comprehensive analysis and visibility, right inside Jira. Just a suggestion, can you incorporate a way to add Test Cycles into the tool for iterative testing?

    Thank you, Stella.

QTM4J has a unique and strong capability for advanced reporting and customized report types. We have also introduced Test Cycles and Test Plans for our Cloud version recently and will shortly make it available for the server version as well.

Great product and an absolute bargain at the price because it is almost like a stand alone test management tool, right inside Jira. What we really liked is the Analytics feature, various types of reports and cross project analysis. What really helped us was the demo and support throughout this journey.

Hi, I had a demo on QMetry Test Management for Jira and I am quite impressed with the product and its features. In particular, I liked the exploratory testing add-on that makes the process of documenting errors quite simple with automation. Also very happy with the support I received in this duration. The support team are very responsive and answered all my queries during the evaluation. I have one suggestion though. It would be very helpful if the tool enables grouping of test cases to make a test cycle.

    QMetry

Thank you Raymond for your feedback and encouraging words. We are happy that you found the product and its features useful. As to the suggestion of test cycles - you will be pleased to know that we have recently launched QTM4J 4.0 for cloud that enables users to group test cases into test cycles and ultimately test plans. We will soon be coming up with the new features in Server version too.

We are constantly working to enhance our test management solutions based on user feedback and common market challenges.

    Best Regards,

I have been using the QMetry for JIRA Server version for about 4 months now, and I have been extremely pleased by the product and the entire QMetry team. I am also using the QAF Automation Framework, and it has been an amazing framework, making automation much easier to implement. The team is ALWAYS helpful and responsive. I have never waited more than a couple hours for any questions or concerns. Additionally, enhancement requests and suggestions that I make are taken seriously, and updates are pushed regularly; so if I have a problem, it is always fixed very quickly. I would recommend this suite of products to anyone responsible for choosing a suite of Test Tools, regardless of size/complexity of situation. Qmetry can and will meet your needs. Thank you very much!

We made the in-house choice to entrust the management of our software test plan to Qmtery, Because it has several assets and meets our internal need. The Jira migration to Qmetry was successfully completed thanks to the support of Qmetry, who put everything in place to make it transparent and painless for us. And the Qmetry support team was very responsive to our queries during this migration phase. The turnover in prod was carried out without problem. Thank you

One of the best plugins for Testing currently in Market, specifically for Manual testing . It is very user friendly and we can manage both test cases and bug tracking efficiently. The Support team also takes immediate steps in helping out our concerns.

Great plugin for Testing. Integration in Jira Tasks is a big advantage and creating Test scenarios, Test Steps and Action Steps is very efficient as you always have the context of the requirements by creating them directly inside the Jira task. Compiling and executing Testruns covers all we need. Re-usage of all test elements is given as well. The only downside i've found so far is the missing support for Firefox Browsers for certain functions, but Chrome works fine Additionally we had a really great personal introduction and support from them. I can really recommend this plugin for Testing.

Oliver - We want to build what matters to our customers. Thank you for highlighting some of the missing support for Firefox. We will review the same and enable it soon. And we are glad to know Re-use of Test Assets in context of requirement is helpful. Thank you for letting us know your views.

I highly recommend QMetry, specially if you have to cover Manual and Automation testing. Manual testing is really well covered by all features you would like to have, Test run creation, test cases and execution. Also with features to clean and reuse cases. Only downside at the moment is the restriction per project, I really hope you can improve this in the future so all test cases can be used cross-project. About Automation, you have a very well designed API that will let you report virtually any automation suite into QMetry and check for results using JIRA UI, we currently use JAVA with Maven and Selenium.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
