So annoying that it spams Jira Cloud with unimportant updates.

      Hi Alex,

Noise in the update feed is a fair complaint; an app that helps you search shouldn't be shouting over your actual work.

Which updates are you seeing spam your instance? If you can show us one or two examples at our support portal, we can tell whether it's something to configure away or something for the product team to silence. Your note is going to them either way.

      Best regards,

We are trialing this product, and so far it helps a lot by extending the JQL possibilities. During the trial we needed assistance, and the Support team was super fast, helpful and very friendly. We use other Appfire products, so not surprised with this :) It will be great though if the need for reindexing in the JQL Search Extension can be somehow detected and solved automatically in the background.

      Hi Klime,

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback! It is great to hear that our search extensions are making a difference in your JQL capabilities during your trial. We are also happy to know that your experience with our support team matched the high standards you've come to expect from our other tools.

Regarding the reindexing process, we appreciate you bringing that up. We understand how important it is to have data synchronize smoothly without manual intervention, and we are constantly looking for ways to make the background indexing more seamless for our users. I have shared your feedback with our product team as we continue to refine the automation of these updates.

JQL Search Extensions for Jira is an very efficient and usefull app! Once the proper permissions are configured, issue indexing happens reasonably fast — far quicker than expected. I also appreciate the flexibility it offers: you can prioritize specific projects for indexing instead of waiting for the entire Jira instance to be processed. This makes it possible to start working with indexed data almost immediately while the app continues indexing in the background. It fits perfectly in our workflows. Also the newly added AI feature that converts natural language queries into JQL is an absolute productivity boost beast!! It hugely improved our team’s productivity by removing the need to manually craft JQL queries. You simply describe what you’re looking for, and the AI delivers the query. Amazing..

      Hi Petar,

Thank you for such a detailed look at how JQL Search Extensions is impacting your team. It is great to hear that the flexibility of our indexing process is saving you time, especially the ability to prioritize specific projects so you can get to work without waiting for a full instance sync. We designed the app to handle the complexities of Jira data at scale, and knowing it fits perfectly into your existing workflows is the best feedback we could receive.

I am especially glad the AI JQL Assistant is proving to be such a productivity boost for you. Simplifying the bridge between a thought and a complex query is exactly why we built that feature. If you ever want to explore more advanced ways to leverage your indexed data or have ideas for new extensions, please reach out via our support portal.

      Cheers,

After 24 hours the app was still unusable and only managed to index ~120 of our issues. This is poor performance and we found better (and free) solutions out there.

      Hi Michel,

Thanks for sharing your experience with JQL SE. We're really sorry to hear you've been running into trouble. That definitely doesn't sound like the experience we want you to have.

Could you tell us a bit more about what you're seeing? Reindexing can sometimes take a while, depending on the data and the complexity of your queries, but 120 issues per day are definitely not something we'd consider normal (more like tens of thousands). We'd love to dig in and help get this sorted out. When you have a moment, please contact us at our support portal. From what you've described, it sounds like this might be a bug, something we can even track in the logs and resolve quickly. The process can get stuck on a particular issue, and we'd like to take a closer look to get things moving again.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

      Kind regards,

Pawel, Customer Success Team at Appfire
