Useful plugin if content needs to be sent to non confluence users. Emails look quite well and professional styled. Missing feature request: Another helpful feature would be to be able to select one or more of the attachments of the confluence-page to be sent, which then would be attached to the e-mail. - Asked multiple times for a statement, but there is no reaction from the author of this plugin.

Works as expected, nicely. :) It would be really nice if it had a subscribe option where we can send out a snapshot of a reports page automatically each day. (for example). Data Center validation would also be handy.

    Hi Derek,

it's been quite a while since your review - thanks nevertheless. :)

I just wanted to drop a quick note that we are looking into compatibility with Data Center and don't expect any problems whatsoever, so the next release should be Data Center ready.

This plugin does what it advertises and does it really well. I was so impressed by how clean and professional the emails it generated looked that I am recommending Confluence Blog posts sent via the Mail Page plugin as a replacement for other newsletter-like communications that happen in our organization. The emails handled images and hyperlinks really well across several clients that I tested: * Outlook / Outlook Web App * Mail.app (OS X default mail client) * Mail on iOS Not sure why there are poor reviews for things like Word and PDF export; that's not what this plugin does! Why would you send somebody an attachment they'd need to download? If you really need PDF or Word export, just use the regular export features and send as an attachment from your own mail client. (if you insist on making it more trouble for people to read, it should also be more trouble for you!) Sending a page as an HTML email lowers the barrier to actually getting to the content.

    Hi Maciej,

    thanks for your feedback.

Our plugin focuses on sending complete Confluence pages to others. At this point, we're not planning to add "Send as pdf or Word"-functionality.

It will be good if JIRA charts and graphs on confluence page can be formatted in the sent email. graphs are showing up as broken links in the email.

You are right, we would prefer, too, if those pictures showed up in all mail clients. Actually, in some mail clients they do. But there's some mail clients that won't show base64 encoded images correctly. We will be working on this issue shortly and I hope we'll find a viable solution.

Update: The issue is fixed with version 1.11 of the Mail Page app :)

Our ultimate goal is to produce more content in Confluence pages instead of content within emails, as content gets always lost in emails. However, we still need a way to share content with people within our organization. We must let others know about available content. The included "share" feature of Confluence allows this, but there are two essential disadvantages with it. 1. The email notification only contains the link to the page/blog post, so the user must click on it to know what it is about and furthermore if Confluence is behind a firewall, the user must be within the network to actually be able to access the content at all 2. The email notification is always sent from Confluence, which can be a problem as many people have set up Outlook rules/filters Here comes the Mail Page add-on from Seibert/Media: Now our employees have the opportunity to decide if they want to simply share a page within Confluence or actually send the content of a page to another person or an entire Confluence group. (+) Content of the page is nicely formatted included in the email notification, thus the other person(s) do not necessarily click on the link but now already before what this is about (+) Includes images, links and formatting as well (+) Can be sent from Confluence, but can be also sent from the personal account (+) Allows to add an additional note (+) Allows similar to the included share feature to send it to individual users, groups, or email-addresses Suggestions for further improvement: 1. Additional note is text only (no line break) which makes it 2. Allow to see to whom (which users, which group, which email-addresses) this page was sent 3. Also allow to send attachments of a page as email-attachments

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
