Exalate Connector for Jira, Work Sync & Two-way Integration

We use Exalate extensively to synchronize private Jira issues with public GitHub issues, and for simple synchronization (like status, title, and basic descriptions), the tool performs very well and is highly reliable. It effectively solves the core problem of cross-platform issue tracking. However, we encountered limitations when trying to sync more complex data. Specifically, handling attachments is restrictive, and the significant differences in rich text formatting between Jira (Atlassian Document Format) and GitHub Markdown result in frequently ugly or broken formatting on the receiving side. While advanced scripting can be used to work around these text conversion issues, it's disappointing that there isn't a better built-in feature to manage this common disparity. Finally, we have experienced occasional server errors, but they are short-lived, and the sync quickly recovers. Overall, despite the initial scripting hurdle for text fields, this is a good and effective product that we rely on daily.

We've been using Exalate to synchronize data between different platforms, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The flexibility of the platform allows us to tailor the integration to our exact needs, whether it's syncing custom fields, comments, attachments, or issue statuses. What really sets Exalate apart is its decentralized architecture—each side controls its own configuration, which means we can maintain autonomy while still collaborating effectively with external teams. The scripting capabilities are powerful and give us full control over how data flows between systems. Support has also been top-notch. The Exalate team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. Setup was smooth, documentation is clear, and the platform has been rock-solid in production.
