*This release REQUIRES Device42 v16.00.00+*This release adds support for Device42 v16.00.00+.
Minor fixes in this release.
Fixes error some users experience when trying to open saved boards; fixes permissions issue on newer Jira (~v7.12.3) releases, other minor fixes.
Smart-search supercharges Device42 custom fields by allowing administrators to pre-apply one or more custom CI filters (>1 filters are applied as 'AND' by default) on each of their custom fields. Each field's filter(s) are evaluated to pre-populate your custom fields with values, simplifying custom field usage for everyone! With smart search, you can pre-populate a custom-fields dropdown with select CIs or can easily pre-define all possible values that could be input into a given custom field; as soon as a user begins typing, the input is matched against your pre-defined values!
This release also adds new custom-field formatting features:
- "Accordion-style" custom fields: accordion style fields allow conservation of screen-space, with field details initially hidden behind click-expandable headers. Clicking the header on an accordion field reveals associated details, while another click collapses those details back into the header.
- Text size in custom fields can now be configured
Minor bugfix release
Minor fixes including support for German language characters and hyperlinked IP addresses where appropriate.
The 4.0.1 release of Device42's JIRA Connector uses DOQL (Device42 Object Query Language) in place of Device42's RESTful API's to gather CI's. Not only does this mean you can get more granular, but the new plugin is much, much faster! You can now create custom CI-type queries, and parameters are also fully customizable with DOQL. Overall scan and search performance has been dramatically increased. Minor bug fixes with this release, as well!
Before, you could select what CI's were displayed, but all were always synced. With the new capabilities of this release, you can choose exactly what CI's to sync and not to sync. Not only does this give you more control, but it could potentially speed up your syncs, too!
You can now create custom workflows in Jira that not only use Device42 custom fields, but you can now validate against data entered into these custom fields and/or trigger conditions based upon data entered into the fields. You can combine Conditions and Validators as you see fit, while also filtering both the data your custom field makes available to the user, as well as what *can be entered* into the fields … and that’s not all … In the 3.0.0 release, a workflow transition can be configured to send a POST to Device42, currently able to request the next available IP in a specified subnet.
Beyond all that new functionality, you can configure a condition or validator to verify criteria in real-time against the Device42 database in those special cases where things might have changed since the last scheduled sync. And enabling the real-time verification is as easy as checking a checkbox.
Added support for following additional CI:
We have added functionality to lazy load the CIs. This will help with performance if you have huge amount of CIs synced from Device42 CMDB to Jira
Added support for following additional CI:
Minor bug fixes
This is a bug fix to account for an api change in D42 in v9.8.0.
Couple of changes in this release:
This release has 2 changes:
There was one issue that caused NPE(null pointer exception) - when the value is incorrect - it can break the rendering. It has been now fixed.
If you want to see different types of CIs in different projects and also filter them by different creteria, you can now do that. We have move the filter settings from the global connector settings to individual project settings. You can choose which CIs should show up for the custom field and also apply different filters for different projects.
You can now select multiple CIs per issue. All the CIs get indexed for search and show up on the view/edit page as well. Available in XML output as well.
This release adds support for Jira 7.
Also, added Parts and PDUs as CIs.
v1.0.8 of Device42 Jira connector has following changes:
Connector uses Device42 REST APIs to sync data from Device42 to Jira. Users can update CI data in Jira on demand or at scheduled intervals. First release focuses on Devices and Racks as CIs from Device42.
