The tool looks simple and its easy to handle. Is it possible to publish the Start and End Time of the work in the reports? it shows only a total of hours. It would be great, when the numbers entered in the Edit Work Log Window under Start/End Time can be visible as well in the reporting section. any idea how to do this?

This is really an awesome tool. One feature what I expected is that when I create a plan for a task, the estimated time will be changed accordingly.

    Hi!

Thank you for finding time to share your positive thoughts and valuable suggestion with us.

This is a great feature, and we are planning to implement it as configurable option.

At the moment, we cannot provide ETA but we'll keep you updated.

We've been using Work Time Calendar for some weeks and it's really good. I think there should be two important improvements: - The ability to have a two-way integration with Google Calendar, so that you can see what youìve planned in Jira also on Google) - The ability to easily transform planned hours in worked hours

    Dear Simone,

thank you for being our customer and providing your valuable review.

A two-way integration with Google Calendar sounds like a great suggestion. We will definitely think about implementing it in the future.

Also, we would like to note that Work time Calendar does provide the ability to easily transform planned hours into worked hours. This could be done with a one click on “Create worklog” when hovering over planned hours.

We hope you'll will find this information useful. Should you have any further questions or recommendations feel free to contact us through our support desk

We been using this addon for almost two years and its pretty good for the price. The biggest feature that is missing is being able to add time as another user (this would be very useful as a manager to be able to add / edit entries of employees).

Hi, We've been using this addon for over a year now. It is a great addition to our JIRA. Makes logging workhours so much easier. I have only one question/suggestion. Lately the search function seems to have became worse than before. A few months ago we could search for partial words, but now it seems the calendar only suggests us issues if whatever we typed in is one separate word in the summary of the issue. Can we somehow improve it? Is it using the same search function as JIRA?
    BrizoIT

    Hello Tamas,

    Thank you for the review!

Recently we had to change the searching algorithm as it did not work well for all customers. Unfortunately we do not have access to the API that is used for the Jira embedded search and the current auto-suggestion is the best of what we can get from the available Jira REST API. The partial searching still works for recent issues and they are shown in "Matching recent issues" section.

If you have any further questions, please contact us through service desk and we will be happy to help.

We used this tool to replace Tempo and it worked quite fine. Until we got an issue to change some work logs by replacing the logged issue by another one. No function to accomplish this was found, and we submitted a feature request (CS-625 move work time). Short answer: will not be implemented. Ok, with tools lacking essential functions and support like this, we cannot operate. Looking for the next tool ... Concerning the replies of the vendor: 1) this is a quite simple type of software for creating some records and filling some values into some attributes. The most common use case of such an application is the change of attribute values, without the need of deleting and reentering the record. If the competitors have implemented it, maybe because they have a better understanding of the daily business with such a tool. 2)As a software architect, I know that with good architectiure, implementing such a simple feature should not cost more than two hours to maximum one day. So either there is no good architecture, or no good support willing to implement such a cheap feature. Both are reasons to be cautios, when using such a product. 3)Well, one point rating is absolutely correct, if a tool cannot be used because an essential feature missing. One star means, that I invested time and money with no use for me, since I have to switch to another product. ------------------- Update We are not after a refund, that would be ridiculous concerning that amount of money. Would you really like to refund the money for educating the team members and the work time they needed to enter data, which now in many cases turns useless, since it cannot be changed? So the damage by such a product, is not done by the license fee, but by the useless worktime that has been wasted with a tool, which in the end turns out being inappropriate.

    Dear Wolfgang,

our customers' wishes are important to us. We are paying a great attention to each email we receive trough our Customer Support channel.

Unfortunately, we cannot implement a feature just because it's implemented by another app. If you go back to our Customer Support dialogue, you would find our explanation to you why we are not going to implement the feature, at this moment.

As hard as it might be for you to hear, we strongly believe that we don't deserve 1 star rating. We will appreciate if you review your position. Thank you for being interested in our products and providing valuable feedbacks.

    === Update:

We regret that you wasted your time and money.

Atlassian provide refunds within 30 days of payment. Please see: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/purchase-licensing#payments&refunds-6

    === Update:

That's why Atlassian is giving 30-day trial to all customers who review all business risks by taking it.

We love this add-on, so easy to use! I love the multiple ways users can log their work with the calendar and a timer. Plus I love that I can select any field I want to show on the report. Very cool! The only thing our users frequently ask for is we'd really like to select more than one user or user group to run the time sheets off. For instance Project A has 5 user groups. In order to get all the hours associated to Capitalized work (custom field) for those 5 user groups, I have to run the report 5 times and merge them in excel. Are we doing this wrong/is there a better way? I've tried adjusting the filter but no luck.

    Elaine,

Thank you for using Work Time Calendar and for the review!

Multiple groups selection is a valuable feature and we plan to implement it. For now, as a work around, you can enable group nesting and create a group that includes few groups. If you need help with this, please contact us through support.brizoit.com and we will be happy to help.

I used to use tempo, but had to switch to work time calendar because the former became too intrusive with permissions. The latter works perfectly without the need to tinker around with permissions.

I am on a trial version of Work Time Calendar, it looks promising with easy UI. I was able to enter in my timeblocks but after a short time (~1-2 mins) my time entries would disappear from my "calendar" view but still display on the "timesheet" view. It would also be "loading" for awhile to execute, not sure if there is a quick fix or someone has seen this but its too bad... Work Time Calendar looked pretty cool and has promising features but the execution did not work in my case.

    Hi Vincent,

Sorry to hear that Work Time Calendar did not work for you.

I think that there was something that caused it stop working. First thing that comes to my mind is that you or JIRA administrator put wrong google calendar credential while configuring Google Calendar Integration.

I will gladly assist you to make the Work Time Calendar work. Please write email to support@jira-work-calendar.com indicating your trial license id and I will get back to you.

    Hi Jonathan,

The bug is fixed. Thank you for reporting it! For JIRA Cloud version just refresh your browser. For JIRA Server please update to version 2.8.2. Will be thankful for bumping up the rating if the Story Point bug was the only reason to put 3 out of 4.

    ===

    Hi Jonathan,

Sorry for the problem with JIRA. You were trying to put defect for Universal JIRA Gadget plugin and it should not appear there at all. Corrected this.

I reproduced the bug and created an issue to track it: https://vkrupach.atlassian.net/browse/MWC-137. It will be fixed with the next version. I will keep you updated.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
