We been using this addon for almost two years and its pretty good for the price. The biggest feature that is missing is being able to add time as another user (this would be very useful as a manager to be able to add / edit entries of employees).

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for the review. We are planning to release version including reporting under other user in first quarter of 2019. I will keep you updated. Please write to support@brizoit.com so we have a ticket tied to you.

Hi, We've been using this addon for over a year now. It is a great addition to our JIRA. Makes logging workhours so much easier. I have only one question/suggestion. Lately the search function seems to have became worse than before. A few months ago we could search for partial words, but now it seems the calendar only suggests us issues if whatever we typed in is one separate word in the summary of the issue. Can we somehow improve it? Is it using the same search function as JIRA?

    Hello Tamas,

    Thank you for the review!

Recently we had to change the searching algorithm as it did not work well for all customers. Unfortunately we do not have access to the API that is used for the Jira embedded search and the current auto-suggestion is the best of what we can get from the available Jira REST API. The partial searching still works for recent issues and they are shown in "Matching recent issues" section.

If you have any further questions, please contact us through service desk and we will be happy to help.

Hello! Great tool, works perfectly for us. I like the addition of the start stop timer. Is it possible to hide the 'My Work' tab for certain jira groups? Or any authorisation on the addon?
    BrizoIT

    Hello Rolf!

Thank you for the inspiring review!

Currently "My Work" tab is shown for all logged users and there is no any additional authorization or security since Work Time Calendar follows Jira security restrictions. Users can see and edit those issues that they can see/edit through Jira. Hence we do not see special need for additional security.

If you have some special business case, could you please describe it though our service desk.

    Update:

Rolf, there was one more request to limit visibility of Work Time Calendar to specific group so we are going to implement this in the next version. The release is expected at the end of June. Please contact us through service desk so we can update you once the new version is available.

Hello dear Developers of the plugin. I am delighted using it we have purchased it a while ago, however i come with an issue: Is there any way to automatically transform planned hours in worked hours? If not, please create an option so that i would be able to log work for an entire month from the log work pop-op. Basically add the repeat option that you have when you plan for hours, and then we will be able to log hours for a month with one swift stroke! Thank you! Andrei Borisovich

    Hello Andrei.

Thank you very much for using Work Time Calendar and for the review!

Can you please describe your business case through our service desk https://brizoit.atlassian.net/servicedesk or just emailing to support@brizoit.com. Reporting at once for a whole month is not common case. We need to understand the value of the feature and define if there is a need for it from significant percnetage of end users.

Was missing some key features like the ability to differentiate between billable and non-billable tasks and the ability to mark billable tasks as billed.

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for your interest in Work Time Calendar.

Currently it's not possible to define custom attributes associated with worklogs. In case if a single issue is either internal or external you can add a custom Jira field and configure Work Time Calendar to show it in time-sheets.

We love this add-on, so easy to use! I love the multiple ways users can log their work with the calendar and a timer. Plus I love that I can select any field I want to show on the report. Very cool! The only thing our users frequently ask for is we'd really like to select more than one user or user group to run the time sheets off. For instance Project A has 5 user groups. In order to get all the hours associated to Capitalized work (custom field) for those 5 user groups, I have to run the report 5 times and merge them in excel. Are we doing this wrong/is there a better way? I've tried adjusting the filter but no luck.

    Elaine,

Thank you for using Work Time Calendar and for the review!

Multiple groups selection is a valuable feature and we plan to implement it. For now, as a work around, you can enable group nesting and create a group that includes few groups. If you need help with this, please contact us through support.brizoit.com and we will be happy to help.

I used to use tempo, but had to switch to work time calendar because the former became too intrusive with permissions. The latter works perfectly without the need to tinker around with permissions.

I am on a trial version of Work Time Calendar, it looks promising with easy UI. I was able to enter in my timeblocks but after a short time (~1-2 mins) my time entries would disappear from my "calendar" view but still display on the "timesheet" view. It would also be "loading" for awhile to execute, not sure if there is a quick fix or someone has seen this but its too bad... Work Time Calendar looked pretty cool and has promising features but the execution did not work in my case.

    Hi Vincent,

Sorry to hear that Work Time Calendar did not work for you.

I think that there was something that caused it stop working. First thing that comes to my mind is that you or JIRA administrator put wrong google calendar credential while configuring Google Calendar Integration.

I will gladly assist you to make the Work Time Calendar work. Please write email to support@jira-work-calendar.com indicating your trial license id and I will get back to you.

    Hi Jonathan,

The bug is fixed. Thank you for reporting it! For JIRA Cloud version just refresh your browser. For JIRA Server please update to version 2.8.2. Will be thankful for bumping up the rating if the Story Point bug was the only reason to put 3 out of 4.

    ===

    Hi Jonathan,

Sorry for the problem with JIRA. You were trying to put defect for Universal JIRA Gadget plugin and it should not appear there at all. Corrected this.

I reproduced the bug and created an issue to track it: https://vkrupach.atlassian.net/browse/MWC-137. It will be fixed with the next version. I will keep you updated.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

This app does not have a a Data Center approved version. Only apps meeting a set of performance requirements for large, clustered environments are approved for Data Center.

However, while server apps are built for single-server deployments, many customers successfully install them in Data Center products. If you're using a Data Center product, Atlassian recommends you contact the vendor to determine compatibility at scale.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app does not have a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Server license if you decide to install this app in a Data Center product.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
