HELP PLEASE! Do you know, if it's possible to create a test report with the display of EVERY individual step of the test case? I just saw the test reports which shows only the results of the individual test cases...("failed", "pass" and so on)... Thanks in advance! LR

Excellent for JIRA. Dont have to do some weird API integrations with 3rd party apps, its all there and is setup with a quite alright flexibility and a nice UI. However! - performance sucks! It freezes, glitches, stops on a fairly regular basis (I mean like once an hour or so). You have to restart the tab several times to get it to load your UI again. Sometimes have to restart the browser. Very annoying and ruins the experience. Update: since then, the vendor has addressed this and fixed the glitches. Now it works quite well. :)

    Hi Miks,

Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you like the UI and setup. Regarding the performance issues, we're currently looking into this and would really appreciate some more feedback from you. If you could raise this through our Support Desk with any relevant information (screenshots/scenarios etc), we can work on getting this sorted.

    Thanks

After trying other add-on tools for JIRA, we started using Adaptavist. I have found the tool is very easy to use and has great features like full visibility from ticket to test case to defect, all within the JIRA application. There are a few features not available yet on the Cloud version, but from what I've read and what's been communicated to me, these are coming soon. The support team, specifically Thiago, has been very responsive to my needs and even created a demo video of the entire system for me to review. So far, we are loving this tool and look forward to continuing to integrate it into our daily workload. Thank you, Thiago for such great customer service and support!

Feedback from one of our customers that set up TMFJ during summer and now gone live with it: "We have executed Tests since last week and Test Management for Jira is meeting our expectation very well! Have only got positive feedback so far. Very good reports which makes life very comfortable so far :-) Examples from the status report this week is: +700 Test Cases Executions are planned for the first 2 weeks of Test. 27% of the Test cases has been executed. 46 problems have been created as a result of testing and 18 of them has now been Resolved/Closed 9% completion of test case execution with status Pass" Life is easy for a Atlassian Consultant with such happy customers :-) Keep up the good work!

Great tool, it does not create too many JIRA id's, the test cases are sitting in a kind of little "bubble" inside of JIRA, which I think is a very good approach to the design of the whole add-on. Many other nice features. However, we had to dump the POC and discard the idea of using this tool because of the tool doesn't work like we expected with Jenkins: it only is able to read JSON file while Jenkins job produces JUnit XML.

    Hi Olga,

Thanks for the feedback and we're glad to hear that you liked the features!

Regarding the support for file types within the Jenkins plugin - we currently support JSON and JUnit XML files - you can select the type when configuring the Test Management for Jira post-build action in Jenkins.

For more info on this in the documentation, please see here.

If you like, I can send over some more information on this, just let me know.

    Regards,

    Dee

We’ve chosen TM4J to replace our current test management tool to get the full integration with JIRA. The test management is integrated into JIRA quite cleverly and the feedback from our test teams has been very positive. The API can be used for the integration of our test automation framework. Furthermore, since the full support of keyword driven testing in version 4.8, this tool has become even more versatile. Additionally, the support has been great, fast responses and always eager to solve our biggest problems and implement our requirements. Keep up the good work!

I must say that you do leverage the testing experience in your organization with Test Management for JIRA. You can implement disciplined processes around tests considering how they are specified, planned and executed. But also, in cases that you don't require strict testing activities, Test Management for JIRA fits completely well providing to teams capabilities to specify and run tests in an "ad-hoc" manner, directly from their assigned issues. Finally, the Rest API integration extrapolates the possibilities that you have to exchange information generated trough other sources, for example, test results from automated tests.

I've been doing a research about which test management tool should we pick for our project and I ended up testing 3 tools: this one and 2 other (stand-alone) tools, among the best in industry. Besides being a lot cheaper than other similar tools, this tool offers almost the same functionality, except it is a JIRA add-on that offers a seamless JIRA integration. Adaptvist Test Management is extremely lightweight and at the same time more versatile than other tools. The support team is very responsive and friendly so if you have an idea about how to improve the tool, you can quickly log it into their system. Another big advantage of this add-on is that it has a REST API that can be integrated with any automation testing tool so the testing teams can easily store their test automation execution results. Adaptavist Test Management makes JIRA a complete software development tool for your project this is why I highly recommend it!

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
