We are running the agent in DC, which is not officially supported. Will it be supported for DC?

Yes, you can use it safely for DC instance.
this add-on stores no data related to application state. and we are using in on DC instance without problem. The only storage are cached historical data of several latests reads (to provide support for diff computing), but this is node related.
The only drawback is, that you have to access the interface directly on every node.

This add-on uses infrastructure of the Atlassian applications, e.g. the same connector. You can configure additional connectors in server.xml.
BTW: There is issue tracker for support questions available.

Great plugin, have been using it together with our monitoring platform and works great.

The plugin cannot be used because the upload of the "access" file for jolokia does not actually update the servers access rules. Updates have no effect and you find yourself endlessly debugging why you cannot query anything.

Sorry to hear that, but the configuration uploaded *after* you first time query the REST endpoint is not active, till you restart the server.
EDIT: New release 0.4.0 is enhanced with better documentation and hint response on configuraion upload.
