Fixed an issue with special characters like umlauts in teaser texts which caused them to be be omitted under certain conditions.
We added the blog post display style of the overview page to the macro as well for a cohesive style all around. In addition to the known "layout" options (image left, right, top, embedded), there is now also a setting to choose between the old "confluence style" and "lively style" - with the latter being the new default. This is also preparation for future features like the possibility to edit the overview pages or display blogs in a grid oder slider view.
Fixed issues rendering a teaser text when it contains certain special characters like ampersand within the teaser text or element attributes.
We fixed an issue with anonymous users not being shown publicly visible blog posts
Omitting most formatting and macro rendering for a cleaner display of blogpost teaser texts was an intentional feature but at the same time removed too many elements like links, user mentions and simple formatting like bold, italics, etc. Through a related bug report and customer inquiry, this improvement could finally be tackled. Additionally, we added a way to quickly create blogposts from the macro directly as well as a prominent visual cue for new unread blogposts.
Blog categories can now be created by configuring filters based on page labels, authors, spaces or space categories.
First release with teaser images, highlighted important posts and admin settings.
