I have been using BigGantt for over a year now. Not everything is perfect but it is still the most complete solution for me to plan things with JIRA. Personally I couple it with a GSuite synchronisation and "Automate.io": a lot of things are done by themselves =) If you have a problem, write to support before you put a bad note! They respond quickly and are always ready to listen. There are also regular updates with new features. I strongly advise, give them a chance.

When this app work with no problem, this app is great. But, sometime, after version up the app, exporting to PDF doesn't work. I'm using atlassian cloud so no way to roll back. Please test exporting to PDF with BigTemplate before release.

Worked fine for a couple of days, but now it is extremely slow, to a point where it has pretty much become unusable. A shame really, it seemed nice in other regards.

Waaaaay tooooo slooooow... I've been on the free trial for the last 3 weeks, and I was lucky enough to create my tasks when their servers were responding. Since then, it's unusable. I have only two projects, around 20 tasks each, and it still takes like a minute to show the project page (we use Jira Cloud). I had read some comments here about this problem, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Well, that "try" stops today. To be fair, these speed issues are really a shame, because I enjoyed using BigGantt. Some other time, maybe!

It is not very suited for large programs or for programs which have tasks smaller than 1 day. Smaller tasks will be depicted as a full day on the Gantt chart. Many bugs were found which is annoying, but the service desk was very helpful. They could help most of the times.

We dove into the free trail to put BigGantt through it's paces, and at this point we're not convinced my company is going to use it after the 30 days expire. For 2 reasons: 1. Performance: - Our Jira server runs on a high end machine, on a solid fibre optic connection to most of our workstations, yet it takes 2-3 seconds for every single change we do to an issue in the Gantt chart to register. It's painfully slow. - It also takes 2 - 3 seconds for any Gantt information to be loaded on an issues page - Rendering of the Gantt Chart (we have only about 50 issues so far, and their dependencies) - rendering is pretty sluggish as well, not very responsive. 2. Dependency linking of issues in the Gantt chart is not intuitive: If I connect a issue to a parent, DON'T pull the issue's time to start right after the parent's! I put that child issue in the future for a reason. The only time the Gantt chart should nudge due dates is when you adjust the length of a parent issue, affecting it's children (which is does). -

    Hey Mark,

    Thanks for trialing our app.

While we very much value your feedback, there is something that needs further clarification. You've submitted the review precisely two weeks before reaching out to us through our support channel. Upon quick internal investigation, we've found that our agent has answered each of your questions within the support request you raised, and that was the last message in the ticket.

Hence, we'll be making attempts to re-connect with you to ensure we have all of these points clarified.

    Kind Regards,

I have three questions. 1. Can I edit the start date and the end date by texting not drag-and-drop. 2. Baseline schedule bar is overlapped with present schedule bar. Can I replace the baseline and present schedule bars in two lines? 3. I know you'll support multiple baseline in around Q3 this year, Could you let me know the exact date?

    Hello Jin,

Thank you for your query and for the review. To answer your questions:

    1) This can be done indeed through Jira Issue Detail View. Please keep in ming though, this operation is still performed within Jira not in plugin itself. Even if it may seem like it.

    2) This issue has been fixed in one of the latest releases and should no longer be a problem.

    3) Sadly, the multiple baseline functionality has to be moved to the end of Q4 this year, as there's many other features which became our priority as well as the fact that we are planning to implement multiple baselines with plugin's new look and feel.

    Regards,

This is exactly what you've been dreaming of if you just wish you could work with your epics and stories/tasks laid in a Gantt view. Setup is a little tricky, but the great support makes up for that. If you have a hassle, just ask.

It is really awesome to track the issues all in the same page, but I tried to export it to excel and once I export it the details are missing, I like to have more details on this like issue comment or description and etc. since when I reporting to my boss he can easily see the details as well, I know he can login to the issues and see the details but he is so busy and don't like to login to every application that we are using in our company to see the detail, he likes to have a comprehensive report of every thing that can be readable for him. I understand this BigGantt is not design for report but if software engineer could be able to put more details on it and test the export file , this can be more convenience to use it for report as well. Best, Sanaz

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Management (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Management, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Management (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Management, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
