Search and Replace

Just used this app to search and remove old macros in over 300 spaces. It has worked very well, the only issue has been where the replace has hit a timeout due to the large number of pages in a space (threshold is approx 1200 pages per space in our case). It seems to be an "all or nothing" change processes, as re-running the replace continues to timeout. Also (worth noting) the replace does not create new page versions or update page metadata, so the changes are not auditable. That's fine for our use-case but may not suit everyone.

When can we expect a compatible version with the latest Confluence Server???

This works great for me. With over 40 spaces and most having around 500 pages, this add-on saved me from having to manually open and search for certain words that I wanted to change. I also used a REGEX search/replace to find any instances of a period that has a letter immediately after it without a space between. However, if there is a period with a number immediately after it, that is correct. \.[A-Za-z] This is a great tool that has saved me a lot of time. Can you screw up your pages? Well, sure. I've messed up a few times in RoboHelp with a Replace All, although thankfully it was only for one help instance and I was able to fix it in a few hours.

App hasn't seen updates in years. Seems to find normal Text occurrences in a space, but directly runs into a "Unreconciled Page Error" on our 7.1.1 server Installation. The "Do you wanna do this, this is Dangerous!" warnings don't really spark confidence either. Confluence's storage methods have changed over the years, so selling this seems indeed "dangerous" to me. This Addon tries to solve a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place. Why Content-wide search and replace (at least within the storage format) isn't a thing in Confluence is beyond me. Atlassian should really consider a change of heart in this regard, as this Addon can potentially cause a lot of support issues.
