Use "related issues" to capture the context
Using "related issues" tab, you can immediately see what and how other issues correlates to the current issue. You can configure multiple issue and project level relations using parametric JQL queries.
Use "similar issues" for similarity detection
While viewing an issue just click on Similar Issues Tab to see issues similar to current one. Just hover on the icon to see description (with rich formatting) without opening it. All of them are loaded only when needed.

Allows detection and minimization of duplicate/similar and related issues. By reducing total number of issues, this app makes your team more productive. The app has various performance optimizations and doesn't add overhead to Jira instance.
- Obeys all issue visibility rules of your Jira
