I had high expectations for the Yogi Requirements tool, particularly regarding requirements management and traceability features. Unfortunately, my experience with the cloud version has revealed several significant issues that impact usability and reliability. First, there are problems already at the account level. The support page appears to be non-functional, and attempts to create or change a password result in receiving a link that reports itself as no longer valid. This creates unnecessary friction even before using the core features of the product. Regarding the tool itself, several key advertised functionalities do not work as expected: Traceability matrix export: Although the tool promises the ability to export the traceability matrix, the export function fails and produces only a generic error without any meaningful explanation. Without proper error messages, troubleshooting becomes nearly impossible. Import functionality: Requirement import also fails, even when using the unchanged example file provided by Yogi. Again, the system returns no helpful diagnostic information. Since requirement exchange is one of the main reasons for adopting such a tool, this limitation significantly reduces its practical value. Duplicate requirement detection: The tool incorrectly identifies requirements as duplicates when they are not. Furthermore, deleting one of the supposedly duplicated items causes both entries to disappear, indicating a potential data handling bug. Searching for these requirements confirms inconsistent behavior. Requirement search usability: While not necessarily a bug, it is disappointing that search results only show the Confluence page where a requirement exists rather than the exact position within the page. This makes navigation inefficient, especially in large projects. Overall, the current cloud version appears insufficiently tested. The combination of broken core features, missing error diagnostics, and usability limitations makes the tool difficult to rely on for professional workflows. For critical projects, I would currently advise against using this version until stability and functionality improve.

Hey Jan, thank you for reaching out, even tough you were not satisfied with our tool. Let me get back to you on each point, hoping to clear out communication.

      1. Support Page: This support page is handled with Jira, and we are not able to reproduce your errors. You should be able to login to the support using your Atlassian account as well. Now, if the support page itself doesn't work for you, it is always possible to write an email to us which we'll be able to answer (see here: https://docs.requirementyogi.com/legal/support-times-sla-statement).

      2. and 3. and 4. Now that you should be able to write an email to our support, we will be happy to know more about your issues and help you. Would you be able to give us a screenshot of said error when exporting a traceability matrix ? Would you be able to share the file and type of information you want to import ? Would you be able to share more information on the duplicated requirements and the pages where your requirements where defined ? What option did you chose to delete the requirements ? Did you perform a reindex of the Confluence page ?

      5. Search: Confluence Cloud doesn't allow apps to use JS in the pages, which prevents us to highlight and direct users to the exact place of the requirement macro in the page. Instead, we use the last heading and place you to the closest position as we can.

We understand your behavior and we are keen on resolving issues as we have a very responsive support, so please send us an email so we can help you and improve your experience.

      Mileva.

Great product with continuous improvement over time. The pricing is good, and the functionalities are not so far from classical Requirement Engineering tools (for a tiny fraction of the price) Support is very reactive.

The reason why I'm leaving negative feedback on 1st day of usage is that I'm tired of your macros joining words in the text. Every time a text is touched by your transformation - I get 3-5 words glued to each other in every second line. Its pretty tiring to go and split those lines that used to be separate words Why I'm sure its happening 'cause of transformation ? I've added quite a lot of text in my articles in Confluence (never seen such weird behavior) and I have only 1 app added besides Atlassian default pack - and this app is Requirement Yogi I wanted to contact your customer support support but looks like auth procedure for your service desk portal has its own issue and is not able to deliver email required to finish steps of auth process , I tried several times but have not seen email I should open proceed with first login attempt - seriously guys, does it have to be that difficult to tell you that your product has bugs ?? Anyway I have to remove your app , it looked promising but such weird bugs I was not expecting

      Hi Serg,

We are sorry to hear that this negative experience with our app. Negative reviews affect products disproportionately, so we're keen to solve it!

      - Concerning your login issue to our portal, all Atlassian vendors use Jira for support, so it's worth creating an account. If you don't receive the authentication email, can you please report the problem with Atlassian ? https://support.atlassian.com/ - other contact methods listed in our documentation.

      - If the text is broken by the transformation, please first revert the page and report it to us with the storage format. Let's talk about it on the support ticket.

      Best regards, Mileva.

Requirement Yogi is a nice combination of lightweight, flexible, and powerful. I appreciate that the requirement definitions are tied to the Confluence tables, so you don't have to create them in another interface that might be harder for users to track down. The traceability matrices are also very handy and easy to use, both in the RY interface and embedded in Confluence pages. The team has been very responsive in resolving bugs as well.
