    The Add-on is simple and easy to use. The Custom fields part. Is there any way to provide conditions . Like if one field value is selected as 'yes' then the other custom fields would appear.

    Hi all, Can you please tell me if there is a rest api for this plugin? And how user profile data is stored in db? I want to fetch user profile data and use it in jira tickets with the help of script runner. Thanks in advance.

    User Profiles allows us to enhance the user information displayed in Jira with additional LDAP data, which also makes this data more readily available for our back-end reporting by storing it in Jira's database.

    Hi! Does this plugin apply to external clients in Jira Servicedesk that will not have access to Jira? Is a license required for each customer?

    Since User Profiles for Jira version 2.1 it is also possible to edit Service Desk customer profiles.

    The licencing depends on your Jira Software or Jira Service Desk license. Please also see the Pricing FAQ. In Jira Service Desk the customers do not need a license.

    We've been using this plugin since 2015. Syncing data from Active Directory is pretty easy once you know the field names. Having the Location and Department fields available on a hovercard has been a real timesaver for our Help Desk staff who need to find people's desks often or assign a software license to a specific department budget. The plugin also can pull in profile pictures (if available) from AD using the thumbnailPhoto attribute. With this enabled, profile pictures are tried in the following order, moving on if no picture is found. 1. thumbnailPhoto from AD 2. JIRA user-uploaded Avatar 3. JIRA generated letter - first letter of user's first name While Jira supports Gravatar, having it enabled will show a silhouette photo instead of a first-initial box on Agile boards. We opted to not enable Gravatar on our instances where Jira Software is used because of this. Encouraging people to upload photos in Outlook lets you pull them into a variety of systems through Exchange Web Services or through the LDAP attribute thumbnailPhoto (which this plugin goes for). If you're using AD, definitely give this plugin a spin to see how much user info you can display in Jira.

    How does server app pricing work?

    Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my server pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly. Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
