    The integration with JIRA isn't as much as I would have expected. We use the Epic > Story / Task > Subtask hierarchy of JIRA a lot and that hierarchy does not translate to the BP. BP is also quite slow. I really like what BP is doing, specially for Engg teams that require a timeline view. I will check back in a few months hoping that the issues I was facing have been resolved.

    Definitely a very good tool. It still needs some important features in gantt management, like multiple baselines and undo function, but SoftwarePlant is continuously working to provide improvements and new functionality. I required Support Team´s assistance many times. They always responded fast and accurate.

We do realize these are must-have features to lots of our customers, but there are several other items that have to be done prior to.

    I struggled for a week with Atlassian's Portfolio trying to make it work in our application (hardware & software engineering). I found it to be an unnatural fit with many difficulties in planning the hardware engineering side. But our organization uses JIRA for the software side, so now I'm using BigPicture and loving it. It's familiar and understandable for those who have used any Gantt based application but still allows you to tie into JIRA. It's definitely a valuable tool and I'm thankful for it. (Update) After experiencing some problems with BigPicture (I had some corrupted data) I reached out to the Software Plant Helpdesk to see if they could resolve the issue. It took a few times back and forth but they were able to identify the problem and guide me to a solution. They did a great job communicating, diagnosing and resolving the issue.

    The Support has been excellent, I can always rely on their quick response to solve problems or just ask questions. The BigPicture application is very robust and has many advantages over other PPM Plugins. We have multiple teams with varying needs, and for the most part it is able to accommodate. It is a great value for the price, since we have the need for all the modules offered. Although, I believe Gantt is the most developed of all the modules. I would like to have more options for Roadmap and Resource.

    You may find more information on how to extract Error Logs here. Please do keep in mind though that instead of using 'Send' option it is better to 'Download' logs and attach them to this ServiceDesk ticket.

    Hello, you wrote in your documentation "...but allow you to define exact working hours for each day" in the workload plans section, but it is only possible to add full hours like 7 or 8. In some countries they have 7.5 working hours like in Finland and I am not able to configure this. Is this just not possible or is there a hint to to it? Other Add-ons like Tempo are able to handle this easily. The logged work is shown with 1.25 or 2.5 in the same resource overview so it shouldn't be a problem... br, Volker

    If new versions include a way to manage cost as MS Project does, it is going to be the best option ever for project management in JIRA. Unfortunately, if you want to manage project costs/budgets, you still need MS Project or other add-ons, which could be better if you have everything in a single tool.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
