    The installation completely failed, leaving me with an unclear path to getting it to work, and support documentation largely focused on on-premise Jira vs Cloud. I will update if the situation changes.

    Acknowledging that there are several mentions of this not working with JIRA Cloud, my experience with this was very disappointing. Performance was painfully slow when combining projects and it didn't even keep the hierarchy of epic > task > sub-task. These two challenges made it very difficult to evaluate the product even further. I had high hopes as this is exactly the type of plug-in that I'm looking to find, so I will be following to see if this eventually works well with JIRA cloud and these problems are addressed.

    Hi, I would like to share my first impressions of working with Big Picture. Our team has been working with her for 2 months. During this time, we can highlight as advantages: a good environment for structuring tasks, it is possible to build Gantt Chart (a good alternative for Microsoft Project), full synchronization with Jira (you can make changes in tasks in Jira and they are automatically transferred to Big Picture. There is no such possibility in Portfolio.), also the program allows you to create a level of task hierarchy >3. As for the disadvantages, we met the incorrect uploading of data from the program within 2 days. There were difficulties in setting up perfect task synchronization. However, all our difficulties were resolved by professional support. I would especially like to mention Piotr, who answered all the questions very fully, was very kind and offered several solutions to the problem. With such support, we are ready to adequately respond to the difficulties on the way to mastering the program. As a wish to improve the product, it would be great to minimize the functional difference in the Cloud and Server versions. In particular, add the possibility of creating Jira sub-tasks in Big Picture cloud.

    So appreciate the responsiveness of the support team! Patryk, in particular, was great in not only explaining the issue I was probably running into but also providing detailed screenshots showing me where to look. Because of this, it wasn't the exact problem I had, but because of the explanation I knew where to look and why so I easily found the issue and fixed it without additional back and forth. Keep up the good work!

    12/6 UPDATE- BigPicture updated their documentation to clarify further how the WBS is built based on the synchronize structure. I changed my review to 4 stars. While there is always room for improvement, new features etc, the fact that the BP support team are so responsive to all of my inquiries is impressive. I look forward to continued enhancements. Been using BigPicture Cloud for over 3 months. I love it, being able to have real time updates reflected in the Gant chart is a huge benefit for my company although I struggled to get the Synchronize set up properly that builds the project structure. The documentation is very poor. Most of the videos are showing the Server version not the Cloud which does not support all of the Server features and the differences are not clearly pointed out in their documentation. Their customer service which is pretty good, and usually respond within 30 hrs..... unfortunately pays the price for the poor documentation. That said, after weeks working through Customer support :-( I now have a real time Gant chart that automatically updates and shows dependencies in Project-1 that are impacting Project-2 and visa versa. This is the main reason for the 3 stars, (1 star less for poor documentation around the synchronizes)

    I have a gantt Chart which also shows the ressource planning and has different possibilities to filter or sort for Tasks. It is also possible to define absence calendars and plans for different user workload. Users can be assigned to teams. Also a great vendor support which helped me a lot during my tests with the addon.

    Piotr encouraged us to upgrade Big Picture to the latest version and migrate to Board 2.0. Three great surprises resulted from following Piotr's direction: FAST upgrade, Big Pic Board 1.0 issues resolved, Big Pic 2.0 migration was fast and easy. We love the 2.0 board. We are using it 10-12 February, NEXT WEEK, for our virtual PI Planning. Great tool with great support! Thanks, Piotr!!

    The plug-in is quite user-friendly and does not require extensive training to get it running in some basic scope. The support provided by vendor is very fast, efficient and comprehensive. It does have bugs here and there but they're quickly fixed.

    Hello, you wrote in your documentation "...but allow you to define exact working hours for each day" in the workload plans section, but it is only possible to add full hours like 7 or 8. In some countries they have 7.5 working hours like in Finland and I am not able to configure this. Is this just not possible or is there a hint to to it? Other Add-ons like Tempo are able to handle this easily. The logged work is shown with 1.25 or 2.5 in the same resource overview so it shouldn't be a problem... br, Volker

    If new versions include a way to manage cost as MS Project does, it is going to be the best option ever for project management in JIRA. Unfortunately, if you want to manage project costs/budgets, you still need MS Project or other add-ons, which could be better if you have everything in a single tool.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance.     1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new apps or Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate BigPicture - Project Management & PPM via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for BigPicture - Project Management & PPM. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. BigPicture - Project Management & PPM begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.

    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for BigPicture - Project Management & PPM. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. BigPicture - Project Management & PPM begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.
