Working for me, so far so good!
I think this plugin outdated, it doesn't work for us.
Github is the concurrent of Bitbucket, but... seriously ?

GitHub is too important for this plugin to be unsupported. Issues are getting raised on the repository with no attention being given. The plugin seems to not support organisations, just personal repos, which is very poor given that HipChat is typically aimed as corporate use? Atlassian need to be more professional about getting their products working with "competitive" platforms. Not everyone uses BitBucket ...

Currently doesn't work. At all. Can click through adding/configuring and it gives no sign of any problem, but then utterly fails to notice any activity on the associated github repos. Total silence. I removed the integration and then used the older hipchat webhook on github itself and that still works. I'm using an enterprise github organization .. not sure if that matters -- this integration sure didn't say anything about enterprise vs. not.
