    Removing restores behaviour

    You can now reply to comments in Jira.

    @mention users in the same way as you would do in a Jira comment.

    Jira reverts to the same old single level view of comments if you remove the add-on. Nothing is lost.

    It does what it claims. It would be nice if email notification contained the related comment history. I like that the plug-in can be easily removed if needed.

    Loved the usability. Unfortunately, ver 1.1.8 is not supported under the latest JIRA release.

    UPDATE2: Same problem, different JIRA version. We're currently stuck and can't upgrade to a new JIRA version, because this plugin is not compatible yet. No reaction to mails sent to their support mail address. Really sad... UPDATE: Funny... the exact same day I posted this negative review, a new version was released. Yet, I've still not received a feedback from the vendor. Not the customer friendly way to do it, but at least it's working now. This is a really cool plugin and our users love it. Sadly the vendor seems to be dead. No reply on my questions about when it will be available for JIRA 7.2.0 or 7.2.1 for weeks. Guess we'll have to drop it or search for a replacement.

    Unfortunately we had some delays in releasing the updates for all the plugins. Thank you for your support.

    Also do note that it's a free add-on and such reviews will only reduce the interest in maintaining this.

    Very convenient plugin which adds what i would call a necessary enhancement to JIRA issues, because of that I'm giving it 4 stars. There are a few things this plugin lacks and other's have noted this/the description notes it but I would like to put my vote in for: - Previewing comment replies before submitting them -- -- I can understand why the Wiki Markup may be difficult to add but previewing the reply would really help reduce mistakes with formatting (eg forgetting to close a code snippet - Better rollup view for long issue comment threads -- Something like a notification counter to indicate there are unread comments would be helpful since reply threads can get lost easily if 5 normal comments are added after the original comment you're replying to

    Great plug-in; we've been using it for so long, most of our company thought it was a standard JIRA feature! It would easily be a 4/4 snap-recommendation, but unfortunately, we just added JIRA Service Desk and found a few compatibility problems between it and this plug-in: 1) When composing a reply in JIRA service desk, you cannot choose to post publicly or privately (all replies are private, though they can be edited to change to public) 2) Despite these replies being private, emails are being sent to reporters, and watchers (as per the JIRA Service Desk notification scheme, but seemingly ignoring public/private & internal/external permission considerations) 3) Though replies can be edited to expose as public, the dialogue window does not seem to close correctly (despite applying the change) No luck finding a solution in the community FAQ, and I'm not sure how active AtlaZon is here, but we'd love any leads on correcting the above (especially #2, where we're not even sure if this is a plug-in bug or a JIRA notification bug). Even just pointing us in the right direction to make these changes ourselves would be a great help.

    no-threaded comment (flat) is not good, but unlimited level of comment is a mess. a think two level comment just like facebook's comment is best. hope it can provide option to choose two-level comment just like facebook.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new apps or Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Threaded Comments for Jira via search. Results include app versions compatible with your Jira instance.
    5. Click Install to download and install your app.
    6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
