    Tried it, but it's severely lacking in features for jira cloud next-gen projects. Documentation is of little help - almost entirely written for Server installations, so it's often misleading (the features you want may be available, but not to you) Uninstalled.

    Thanks for your review Travis. Even though Atlassian states that the Asset Field is compatible with next-gen projects, we are getting signals that customers are experiencing challenges. The compatibility is solely in the hands of Atlassian though and we have reached out to them to learn more about their potential issues and if we can assist in any way. Regarding our documentation, we can agree on that the navigation could be clearer and that’s something we are working on. The cloud documentation is available though and you can find it here and the feature differences between Server and Cloud are clearly documented here.

    I like the potential here. However it will be a long process without some sort of import functionality to get our assets entered into this system. is that feature on the list or improvements? Even something as simple as a csv import would help.

    Thanks for you feedback around the potential of Insight for Jira Cloud. We are working hard to close the feature gap between the Cloud version and our Server/DC version and that includes the imports since we know that this will open up so many more possibilities for our Jira Cloud customers.

    We can't say anything about any release dates but the REST-API will come out soon.

    The cloud version is severely lacking in functionality. No reports, no import functions and linking with Jira service desk no longer has the same options regarding custom fields. We are uninstalling it and searching for a better cloud solution. Such a shame as the server version suited us perfectly.

    Thanks for you feedback and we can’t agree more, and this is why we are working hard to close the feature gap between the cloud version and our awesome server version. This includes, as you mention, the reports and imports, but also automation, object search etc.

    Regarding our rich custom fields in the Server version: The lack of API’s in the Jira Cloud platform makes it impossible for us, and any other cloud solution, to do anything more than we do today. It’s just not possible to replicate our server custom fields in cloud. The best option right now is to use the Asset Field and the functionality that Atlassian provides but it’s not the same as our custom fields for sure. However, we can improve the asset type configuration with automatic sync so you don’t need to sync manually every time something changes in Insight. We can also do improvements on the issue view to help agents to get a better view over the reported object details/graph/open tickets etc as we do in the server version.

    I would like to thank you for sharing this. It’s really important for everyone that comes from the server version to understand that we still have a big feature gap between the server and cloud version.

    Hi Nader, We've been trying Insight and frankly the cloud version is not yet ready for production, mainly because of: - The software performs tremendously slow, it doesn't allow a confortable usage. - Import feature is not available, we're up to type every single item by hand. It is a waste of time. When both issues mentioned are overcome please let us know. Many thanks.

    Insight provides powerful discovery, documentation, and mapping features that are needed by any organization in any business or non-business fields. Insight's open, flexible schema building capability allows structuring information anyway desirable and in the fly. Insight's type and relationship/reference capability allows connecting and tracing dots across the entire enterprise. Call Insight an "Asset Management" tool is an understatement. It is a universal documentation and mapping tool that is suitable for any subject domain. We uses Insight as the central portal to document and connect our mission, goals, strategies, resources, business lines, external stakeholders and their needs, technologies, risks, priorities, processes, glossaries, knowledge sources, and many more. Insight enables us to tract resources to its needs, through its entire lifecycle, and to its contribution to our products and services. Such documentation and mapping support our enterprise management at every aspect, including stakeholder management, governance, value chain management, risk management and more. With Insight, we are finally able to create one version of truth of our enterprise meta information and reuse it across the organization. There are still many features we need that are not available in Insight. We hope Insight will continue to improve and enrich. We think Insight's fundamental design is sound and it has the great potential to grow into a powerful meta documentation and mapping tool that any organization can use for any purpose.

    Terrific app. I needed something for my company to maintain component builds. After going through a lot of software, Insight is my preferred one. The support team is very knowledgeable and provides a response in a couple of hours which is good. Kudos to the entire Insight team

    Their support is fantastic! I was having difficulties with the initial setup and they were able to guide me through the issues I was having. Their documentation is being updated which I hope will iron out some of the kinks with their existing docs.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
