I will be looking for a refund as soon as I find a way of contacting Artemis. I cannot submit a support ticket as the website field says that my Licence SEN quoted in the Copy Space section of the Manage Apps part of Confluence Settings is apparently an invalid number(!?). I bought Copy Space because, when replicating information from one space to another using Copy Page Tree, hyperlinks embedded within Gliffy diagrams to other locations in the tree were not updated. That is, the hyperlink in the new space took the user back to the link in the old space. It did not update the link to take the user to the appropriate points in the new space. I'm not sure if the terminology is correct, but it's feels like what (in Excel) be called absolute links rather than relative links. I hope that Copy Space would overcome this problem as it sounds as if it takes a more holistic approach to copying over the data. It didn't work. The links still go back to the old space. Not only did it not solve the problem that I hoped it would, it introduced new ones. Bizarrely, new users in the space with editing permission rights were unable to use the space. thr space. when they opened up any page containing a Gliffy diagram, once the diagram was loaded the page went into an eternal loop of immediate auto-update, rendering the page unusable. Weirdly, this did not happen to new users who did not have editing rights. As the Copy Space customer service section won't recognise their own damned SEN number, I'm hoping that this review attracts their attention so that I can ask for a refund.

    Hello Andrew,

On our Support Portal you can open a case using a form that has an SEN field but it should be optional so you can leave it out if you want and include it in your description. Here is a direct link: Report a bug.

The SEN field is a numeric field with some instructions to enter an SEN such as "SEN-11111111" as only a number like "11111111". (UPDATE: we have changed the "SEN" field to be free-form text instead of a number, thanks for the feedback)

Please open a case with the support portal and we can immediately get an engineer to help you with whatever you want. Gliffy is a 3rd party app and we don't know how they represent links in their markup. The links might not be in the markup, they could be in the Gliffy data which only Gliffy can access. They may not be using a standard link markup approach, which could explain why their links are not detected and rewritten by a copy operation.

Thanks and sorry for the trouble.

We use this for exporting an English space and sending it to a vendor to translate into other languages. When we do an export we want a clean version of the space so no version history. Would like going forward the ability to select/unselect exporting comments.

If you would like to add a vote to CSOD-41 it may help keep the visibility of this issue high.

We would like to add support for copying comments as soon as Atlassian enhances their API for copying page hierarchies. Currently, they do not support copying comments.

The ONLY Confluence cloud plugin that can actually also copy images / attachments / rights /etc . Worked like a charm.

Thank you so much for the review. Very glad to hear it! Yes we have put a lot of work into a complete rewrite of the app after years of experience learning about which Confluence APIs work and how to work around the ones that are not reliable.

Low rating due to multiple errors when using the add on and more importantly, after logging questions and error details in the vendor's support portal, no response or assistance.

    Dear Karl Burkum,

A second update 2019-04: We have rewritten the app. Secondly we have completely overhauled our support system and moved to a new support portal. Please consider trying it one more time. AND if you ask a question of our new support portal you will get a fast response :)

We have just released a brand new version of our Copy Space Cloud app! Please give it a try. The updates should be immediately available to your Confluence instance. It *might* require a page refresh.

This new version fixes virtually all of the issues we were aware of in the past via new 'smart algorithm' we've implemented. We are going to be adding more improvements, but the important thing is that in all of our testing thus far copies seem to be working 100% of the time. That used to be somewhat unpredictable due to Confluence. That unpredictability stemmed from the Confluence Cloud platform rather than our app, but of course, would manifest to our customers as our app.

Thanks very much for submitting an update to your review and we are thrilled you are finding it to be so useful!

    Below is our original response:

Basically the "add-on user" is created by the add-on when you install it. It is that 'copy-space' user that needs to have permission to create a space. Sorry for the confusion.

This is a giant pain for all Cloud add-on developers. We will update our error message to be more helpful.

The link below explains how it works and how to add permissions for that Cloud add-on user.

    https://artemis.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AoCoAg#CrossProductSupport/CommonTroubleshooting-Cloudadd-onPermissionRequirements

Once you add 'create space' permissions to the user it should work and please consider updating your review :)

Although CopySpace isn't perfect, it saves me a lot of time. It's nice because I can maintain a DEV version of my documentation, and then use CopySpace to publish a PROD version of my space when it's ready. I needed the cloud version of this ad-on and was happy to find that it was available.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
