Got today the option to use the new customfield editor after upgrading to JIRA 7. Great idea (it has saved us hours or even days of work), now with a great and enhanced UI. To the point the tool you will need, when you are working in an enterprise environment, where the roles are not all the time: JIRA admin (does everything), project admin (sees everything in his project). If you want something in between, this tool comes handy and allows exactly that one thing every project with a custom field with a list of values wants to do: Change them! Great work, and the fastest bug fix I ever experienced from a tool producer (see https://github.com/codeclou/customfield-editor-plugin/issues/5 for details).

Talking about plugins that make sense and add real value to JIRA's functionality. Finally we can allow users to maintain their own list box entries, even per context. Design and UX is something that always play a role in my book as well. Beautifully done here. Great job! Keep it up!

Best plugin!! One Feature that i missing is do choose roles in addition to users and groups for the permission section.

Thanks :) It will stay with group permissions since as best practice project setup you would usually have groups assigned to roles inside your projects permissions. And therefore should already have groups which you then can give permissions to edit fields.

But I understand that in small projects you might not have groups and that this feature is missing. Maybe it will come in the far future. But for now it is not on the agenda.

Hey, the best plugin that I ever see. By adding the Swagger and cli tool - oh man. You are a hero. Thanks :-)

Good to hear that you like it :) and that Swagger is appreciated :D

We are interested in this plugin.. We would like to know if delete option alone can be disabled for delegated users ? In case we delete any field option accidentally, how do we restore that and affected issues?

This feature is currently out of scope of the plugin.

You cannot restore a deleted option in any way. Therefore a delete-confim-dialog is shown to avoid accidental deletes.

Hi ! Nice plugin ! Actually i took it because i saw on https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-bulk-add-multiple-options-to-a-custom-field-687024627.html that this plugin could help with "add multiple option to custom field". Is there a way to do that ? i manage to do some rest, but it's only one value at a time.

Thanks for the review :) This question is asked a lot. When using REST you can simply use a FOR loop to do so.The main reason this bulk feature will never come is due to possible duplicate errors that need to be handled for each option you insert.

I wrote a reference API Client that inserts multiple options from a JSON file you can see and use that here:https://codeclou.io/customfield-editor-plugin/1.5.3/rest-api-client/?os=windows&type=select

thank you :) I will support this AddOn as long as I live :D

Next big thing will be a completely redesigned Web-GUI, but this will take some time to develop.
