This product is terribly slow. It takes full 2 minutes to load all my user stories on the story map. Lastly, everytime i re-order my epics on the story board, when i come back to it after the browser tab is closed, my changes are lost, I am not sure how its saving it.

Hi Ashish, sorry to hear this.

It would be great if you could reach out to our support team so we can investigate further. What you describe is certainly not the desired or intended behaviour.

I'm on evaluation atm, but will most likely purchase. Lot's of potential, and added value to me on day one. A few things I'm wondering about: - "Collapse all" for sprint swimlanes. Or remember the ones that were collapsed between sessions. I must have collapsed 1 million sprints by now. - Be able to edit story or epic from the Story Map view, as a popup edit rather than open the issues in a separate window. - Duplicate and Delete Story or Epic within the Story Map view. Probably more, but I'll bother the support once I purchase.

Thanks for the feedback Tobias, greatly appreciated.

    • Collapse Sprints - this is now remembered. If you are on Jira Cloud you've got it already, if you are on Jira Server please upgrade to version 4.1.
    • Edit in the story map - beyond the inline edit for the Summary and estimate field we'd like to pop the edit issue dialog using keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately that falls under the Jira Cloud limitations that we're waiting on Atlassian to address. This would also cover the Delete use-case (issue actions in general would solve a lot of limitations).
    • Duplicate - I can see us replicating something along the lines of the new split issue functionality Jira Software provides.

Thanks Tobias, please keep the feedback coming.

Thank you for the feedback Raul.

Atlassian handles all of the Easy Agile billing and licensing. When purchasing an app license the user tier must match that of the Atlassian 'host' product (in this case Jira). This is a requirement of Atlassian Marketplace, as detailed in this Atlassian FAQ.

We are using Roadmaps. So far it has been good for our team to see all projects throughout the year. It would be much more effective if this Roadmaps plugin can do these following items: 1. Connect to JIRA epic start date and end date and populate the created epics in the Roadmaps 2. Ability to filter by Assignee, start date, end date 3. Ability to color by Assignee Thank you very much.

    Thanks for the feedback Watsa!

We've taken an approach in Easy Agile Roadmaps that allows us to visualise a single epic on the roadmap calendar more than once. We did this so that product managers could stop duplicating epics and shuffling child issues from one epic to another - this was a common approach based upon conversations we had. As such we are unable to use Jira custom fields as there may be multiple start/end dates for a single epic.

As for the filtering and colours, we'd love to bring these to both Easy Agile User Story Maps and Easy Agile Roadmaps. Unfotunately the APIs for quick filters and card colours are not published by Jira Software. Please vote and comment on those issues to show your support for them, it gives us leverage with Atlassian product managers.

Bought it but can't use it because the map is for epics instead of user screen flow since we use epic for real business epics. What can I do?

    Hi Thu,

In terms for what you can do with the tool, you can read through a powerpoint walkthrough of Easy Agile User Story Maps here, this should outline the overall functionality of the product as well as many of the objectives you can accomplish with it. Can you please reach out to support@easyagile.com so we can further address your concerns there.

Works really well. Much much beter than a linear backlog! Still evaluating but will probably buy. Would be nice to be able to configure the layout of a card. e.g., I'd like to see the labels of an issue.

    Hi Bert,

I'm glad to hear you're such a huge fan of Easy Agile User Story Maps! We're a small team striving to provide great software and support to companies around the globe and it's great to see we're getting our name out there.

Unfortunately custom card layouts are not presently available in our add-on as we are awaiting an API from Atlassian as detailed in JSWCLOUD-13728. I encourage you to vote and comment on that issue to show Atlassian how important it is and help bump it up their backlog. As soon as they release this API we will integrate it into our product.

I really don't know how you can efficiently work on your backlog w/o this add-on. Personally, I can't. The support is fast and efficient, that's a plus. It could be a bit faster. Also, if we could filter displayed epics, it could help when reorganizing stories.

Great product, would have been 4 stars but you don't seem to be able to show story points on the story board cards. User training issue perhaps?

    Easy Agile

    Hi Andrew,

This sounds like a configuration thing - if the agile board is a Scrum board then you'll have the ability to set an esitmation statistic, Story Points for example. When you load the story map for that agile board you'll then see the story point estimate on the cards, and be able to inline edit.

For Kanban agile boards there is no estimation statistic in Jira Software. That issue is tracked on the Jira Software backlog for Cloud and Server:

Please reach out to the Easy Agile Support Team if this doesn't solve the issue.

Thanks Andrew, have a great day,

User Story Maps makes Jira so much better. It's really great tool for organizing backlog, sprints and releases. Although I have few suggestions how to improve the plugin: - Quick filters & 3rd level based on components (I know it's blocked by lack of API on Atlassian side) - Ability to quickly create new stories inside the board without opening default Create Story dialog. That dialog is complicated and it takes time to fill it. - Context menu for tickets where you can easily move tickets to different sprint or release. In normal Jira board there are options like move it to Top of Backlog, to Active Sprint and so on. Here you can use pretty much same paradigm. - I'm very often switching between Release and Sprint view, but sometimes I get confused that I move some ticket to sooner sprint, but forgot to move it to sooner release. It would be good to provide some quick info, in which sprint and release the ticket is placed. Maybe some kind of tooltip or something. - Some epics have lots of stories and some epic has just one or two, that leads to situation where one epic has really long column of tickets. Would it be possible for such epics display tickets in two columns, it would provide us much better overview and ability to move tickets through different releases or sprints. I think the tool is going in right direction and I'm looking to see more and more improvements in the future. Thanks.

Just voted on the quick filter issue and added a comment...hope it helps. On a more upbeat note...I really like the card status (blue, yellow, etc) you've added to the story board. I'd take that a step further and let users filter on those so we could focus only on those cards in progress, etc.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
