If you already have a lot of epics, you may find this app to not be valuable as it pulls all of your epics in and doesn't seem to let you filter them down to the user story backbone that you actually want.

    Hi Janathan

Thanks for the review. You actually can use quick filters on the User Story Map to narrow down which Epics you would like to see.

Generally speaking, very good. Improvements I'd like to see are to be able to do quick filters and to add status tags to the cards.

    Hi Neel,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave this review - our team really appreciates it.

The User Story Map does support quick filters. Your quick filters can be found under the 'Filters' button at the top of the Story Map. You can also apply quick filters to issues in the 'Issues without Epics' panel (the blue backlog button in the header).

I'm interested to learn a little more about what you mean when referring to 'status tags'. Currently, the Story Map displays status category colours on each story on the Story Map. Hovering on these colours will display the name of the status via tooltip.

You can also change the status of issues on the Story Map by clicking on the issue-key which will open our Issue Editor. All updates to issue statuses will appear on the cards displayed on the Story Map.

I'm looking forward to hearing whether this has helped clarify the functionality you were hoping to see on the Story Map, and learning a little more about your 'status tags' use case.

This tool does exactly what it says and works great. Some hierarchy control would be helpful as we have issue types that reside about the epic layer but beyond that....this tool is perfect for us. The support for this add-on is good as well. Thumbs up Easy Agile.

Extremely low quality of support. Months to answer that they will not fix the problem, as they won’t to. Cannot give 0 for rating.

UPDATE: Hi Gabriel, just wanted to confirm that we have now released a new version of Easy Agile User Story Maps for Jira where it is possible to see the details of completed sprints and released versions. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Nick

    Hi Gabriel,

I'm sorry you were not satisfied with your support experience.

I have reviewed the support request in question and can confirm:

    • the request was opened by you on the 17th October 2018,
    • we confirmed the feature request was on our backlog on 23rd October 2018,
    • the feature you requested was showing all done issues, for all time
    • we do not have an ETA for this feature as at 2nd February 2019
    • as stated on the support request we will contact you when this feature is available

For the few customers requesting this feature we can see that this would be valuable. However, we can see this may also significantly impact performance for those customers, and all others. As such we are reviewing feedback from customers such as you to determine the best path forward.

Thank you for your patience and feedback. Should you have any questions feel free to contact me directly.

    Regards,

User Story Maps makes Jira even more powerful. It helps the AGILE COACH in the inception phases, but it is also very useful during the SPRINT PLANNING and in the SPRINT revision activities. A very good product.

Hi, Thanks for the very good plugin. Easy to use. Can you please let me know, if it is possible to add any other issue types at top most row (apart from "epic" issue type) ? Thank you.

Hi Pattem, Thank you for your review and queston!

Currently the User Story Map only supports the Epic > Story hierarchy. This hierarchy is not customisable/interchangeable.

In saying that, we do have an existing story on our backlog to introduce a third level of hierarchy that would sit above the Epic level on the Story Map.

I've made sure to add your vote and comments to the story on our backlog, and someone from our team will reach back out to you with a better idea of when you can expect to see this functionality in product. Thanks Pattem, have a great day Teagan Harbridge - Product Manager

Installed at the request of our Business Analysis team to help with User Story creation, tracking and mapping, but eventually found to provide little additional benefit to the wider project team and within a couple of months and we ended up with nobody actually using it, so disabled and uninstalled.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. For Jira 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Desk (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
