Really Simple Escalation is the shortest distance between your Jira server and automatic issue escalation. It’s a simple utility that lets you run a specified JQL query at a regular interval, and applies a designated workflow transition to the issues that are found. It provides a quick and easy way to implement a mechanism for flagging issues that have sat around for too long, or that otherwise require periodic attention.
