This plugin features a custom field type, that makes it possible to encrypt and decrypt values client side under strong crypto
Add the Encrypted Field custom field
Add the custom field using the type of Encrypted Field in the Custom Field Administration.
Insert your confidential data and encrypt it.
Insert your confidential information and encrypt it when creating an issue.
Decrypt is also possible in edit mode.
When editing a issue, decrypt the confidential information and re-encrypt it or encrypt new confidential information.
Its also possible for users without edit-permission to decrypt the data.

Adding a custom field of this this type to a project enables the following features:
- Users creating or editing issues are able to encrypt values (client side, such that the confidential information is never sent to the server) and decrypt later (when editing the issue).
- Decrypt the data and/or re-encrypt other information in the field when editing the issue
- Users without edit-permission can decrypt the encrypted data when viewing the issue (and hide it)
- The information is never sent to the server (when encrypted or when shown decrypted)
