We've been using this plugin for years and recently ran into an obscure exception, where switching between issue types on certain pages with a certain default configuration would lead to a client-side JavaScript error. Not only were the developers very quick to respond (within a few hours) but when they responded they had also determined the issue and published an update to fix it. Updates for new Jira releases are always on time and the interaction with support is excellent! Thanks again!

My team loves this plugin we have been using it 2+ years but we are having issues with the latest version 3.5.0 using Jira 7.4.1. Same problem as reported by Eric Locatelli. Unfortunately the default description will not be deleted if you switch from issue-type bug to issue-type story (empty content) on the "create issue" screen Have tried using both IE and Firfox. same issue.

This would be a practicle feature. I tested it for default bug descriptions on our Jira 7.4.2 Test Server. Same problem as reported by Eric Locatelli. Unfortunately the default description will not be deleted if you switch from issue-type bug to issue-type story (empty content) on the "create issue" screen. After I added a simple "dash" ( - ) for the description of issue-type "story" (hoping the simple dash-content on the story would overwrite the bug-content), the dash just merges with the bug-description, ending up with my story description containing the bug-description plus an additional dash. All in all, I think it is practical if you never have to switch issue-type on the create issue screen. Considering the bug, plus the rather high costs (my opinion), I rate it with two stars.

Simple to use and configure, but does not work as expected for some fields. In my "field configuration", I set a default value for "Summary" and another default value for "Description". This "field configuration" is applicable for a single issue type (Bug) and not for the others (Epics, Stories, ...) While the "Default Values" add-on works perfectly for field "Summary", the behavior for field "Description" is random: in the "Create Issue" screen, "Description" remains empty when swapping the issue type to "Bug" and is suddenly filled with the expected value when swapping again to "Story" (which is unexpected). Swapping again to Epic clears up the "Description" and swapping again to "Task" fills "Description" again. Please note I am using XRay. I looked at all possible params to check I proceeded correctly, but did not find anything useful. So I assume this is a bug. Any chance to get this fixed ? Thanks.

Hi Eric,
It is not a best place to report issues. We will need few more details to investigate the problem as the scenario you described works perfectly fine on our side.
Please contact us directly at support(at)gebsun(dot)com and our friendly support team will try to solve the problem.

This is exactly what I needed. Pricing is very reasonable, I love the different configuration for different issue types. This is warmly welcomed in our company where users needs a template to help them be more effective and write issues with high quality. 4/4, recommended.
