A helpful app for creating, organizing, translating, and reusing shared terms in Confluence. It improves documentation clarity and is especially useful for onboarding and multilingual teams.

Glossary for Confluence is a useful and easy-to-use app for organizing important terms directly in Confluence. Creating terms and adding details like synonyms, abbreviations, and labels was straightforward. Overall, it can make documentation easier to understand, especially for onboarding and internal processes.

The app was easy to use once the glossary was set up, and adding terms, definitions, synonyms and labels felt straightforward. The page highlighting and glossary macros were especially useful because definitions could be shown directly inside Confluence pages. I did face some confusion during the initial setup and glossary navigation, but overall the app worked well for organizing and reusing shared terminology.

Glossary for Confluence provides a useful set of features for managing shared terminology directly within Confluence. Creating and organizing terms was straightforward, and features such as synonyms, abbreviations, labels, attachments, term highlighting, CSV import, and multilingual translations were useful and generally easy to understand. The Term List macro and Glossary Highlight feature worked well and made glossary content accessible from Confluence pages. The multilingual workflow was also effective once enabled. However, I encountered several usability issues during testing. Floating support and feedback widgets sometimes covered important controls such as Save and Apply Filter. Some dropdowns and scrollbars were partially clipped, CSV import did not clearly report invalid rows, and the Term Definition macro eventually displayed a license-expired error after a long loading time. Overall, the app has good potential and provides real value for teams maintaining shared terminology, but the UI overlays, validation feedback, performance, and macro reliability need further refinement for a smoother production experience.
