    Project Pages

    Easy Authoring, Easy Management

    Simplified Collaboration

Each project has its own set of Pages, with filtering, favorites, tags, and URLs built directly to each page for bookmarking. Use the SimpleWiki pages for project roadmaps, documentation, notes, etc.

SimpleWiki uses Jira Markup language so creating Pages is as easy as creating Jira issues. Use the same tags for lists, user mentions, and text formatting, and manage access to Pages using the built-in Jira roles/groups.

Team discussions are monitored by page. Assign watchers per page and as you share files, updates, comment, or link issues: change notifications are emailed to your assignees and published to their Jira Activity Stream.

    More details

SimpleWiki is your answer for project documentation hosted right in your Jira instance.

Projects accumulate a myriad of notes, documents, and other clutter. Rather than managing separate sites or tracking your documentation across separate products, keep your project planning with your issue management, right in your Jira instance. Our wiki pages simplify everything for developers and project managers alike. No configuration necessary, just install and you’re ready to go!

    Common Uses Include:

Project documentation, Specifications, Roadmaps, Meeting notes, Team Contacts, Infrastructure Overview and shared credentials, or Public Release Notes

    • Quickly create pages, and use the same syntax as Jira Issues for formatting, linking tickets, and mentioning users
    • Comment on pages, attach files, link pages together, and see past versions
    • Protect pages using built-in Jira Roles & Groups, or make them public to share with users outside of Jira

Hi. Very nice addon. Would it be possible to add a tree structure like pages having subpages. It would help to organize documents. I like the way of folders and subfolders of the Kanoah Test Addon. Could be a reference design for this feature

How can I set it to other editor/renders, like Jira text fields?

    Hi Alexander,

Simple Wiki only supports the native JIRA Wiki renderer that ships with JIRA. This includes the markup editor toolbar. Other editors like JEditor, and the JIRA Rich Text editor plugin are not supported at this time, since we would need their source code in order to do integration.

So far Atlassian has refused to open source the Rich Text editor plugin, making it impossible for us to do integrations with it. Please feel free to reach out to Atlassian, and the marketplace team, asking them to reconsider.

At this time, the Rich Text Editor plugin is not officially supported. As you've noticed, it will work in text mode, but not in Visual mode. Simple Wiki has multiple custom macros, and impacts the rendering chain for things like attachments, mentioning pages, and so forth. In order for us to integrate with the Rich Text Editor plugin, Atlassian would have to open source it, or provide hooks for us, both of which they have refused to do so far.

Please feel free to reach out to Atlassian, asking them to reconsider.

As a consolation, we are currently exploring adding our own Rich Text editing functionality to the Simple Wiki plugin, and are hoping to have a release within the next 1-2 months.

There are some parts that are difficult to use. It would be nice if the simple wiki creation screen is exposed in the project or Return to Project button in the simple wiki is required. Requires powerful editor functionality. Attachment size limit is required.

We use SimpleWiki for project documentation, test server credentials, and other miscellaneous documentation. It's so nice for simple documentation of a Jira project.

Hi, The Plugin is simple to use, and is perfect to document our Projects. But i would have a few feature wishes: - Export a wiki document into a .pdf file - Get the default Editor that Jira uses (Formatting etc.) - Display pictures in the size you want Is there a chance that you will implement some of my suggestions? Thanks!

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
