Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira

Timepiece is the one Jira app my team uses the most, couldn't imagine measuring the work we do without it. I also recently reached out to their support and was pleasantly surprised with the effort they put in to resolve my issue. They were very responsive and clear in their instructions on how to troubleshoot, and then made changes to the app configuration to support our needs.

I’ve been using Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira for a while now and it’s become really helpful for understanding how work flows in Jira. It makes it easy to see how long issues stay in each status and quickly highlights where things are getting stuck. The reports are clear, simple, and actually useful in day-to-day discussions. Overall, it’s a solid tool that gives better visibility into the process without adding extra complexity.

I can't imagine navigating Jira without Timepiece. While we all manage our tasks within Jira, the real question is whether we can effectively measure our output. As the saying goes, 'if you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.' Timepiece bridges this gap perfectly. Jira offers great visibility, but Timepiece enhances it with a more focused, detailed, and visual approach. Having used it for many years, we are extremely pleased with the results. I strongly recommend it.

Our teams using this plugin handle a large quantity of items that need to be processed for reporting purposes.

We recently purchased Timepiece and it meets our needs. We wanted to measure Agile Flow Metrics like Lead Time, Cycle Time and Flow Efficiency so that we can identify bottlenecks in our processes, but we could not do this with native data available from Jira out of the box, so we used data coming out of Timepiece APIs to measure these flow metrics.
