As a previous user of the free Atlassian Subversion plugin, I was initially disappointed to find it had been abandoned and that only a paid replacement was available. However, after having used the Subversion ALM plugin for over a year, I am pleased to say the value of the plugin definitely exceeds the cost. In addition to all the previous functionality, we have a very nice browser for our repo built into JIRA, easily viewing changes to files. The plugin functions very well - so far, I've found only one trivial issue that was fixed within 2 days of my reporting it. If you use subversion and wish to tie your code to the relevant issues, this plugin is a very solid option.

Wow. I first tested this plug-in as a replacement of Atlassian's abandoned Subversion plugin, only to discover it went from Free to paying without warning during our evaluation. While I don't mind paying for a plugin, I have difficulties selling one that went from free to 25%-35% of Jira's original cost. I would buy this plugin if it were to review their licensing tier pricing, or offer a 'lite' version. Until then, I cannot endorse it.

Selling free or cheap tools it's much funny and easy, of course. Selling "expensive" tools is a much slower process as it requires answering a lot of technical questions, meetings, demos, POC, etc. It's part of the game.

We are sad you are unable to sell Subversion ALM to your potential customers as it is a really powerful and useful tool.

The business mistake is that you are comparing this app against the Atlassian's discontinued app whereas it is a professional alternative to FishEye for Subversion,

What a sleezy "bait and switch" tactic... This plugin has been free for years and now all of a sudden it is paid (and expensive....)? It has a lot of good features, but if you're going to charge for this plugin, you should make that known from the beginning - not change your minds.

You are not right when you say "now all of a sudden it is paid". It is simply: not true.

Subversion ALM changed its pricing model after a lot of investment for a deeply re-engineering to make it compatible with Data Center, fixing a lot of bugs, added a lot of new features, support users, etc.

We respect you do not want to pay for that. Hence, the old free version is still available for downloading.
