Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ)

Only Great if you use pure(vanila) of jira. Addon doesn't support the 3rd party addon like script runner. Addon becomes nightmare when it comes migrating project/config from one domain to other! (Have to copy those post function conditions manually uggghhhh!)

Poor migration experience when migrating from one Jira environment to another Jira environment in an existing project since it does not let you gradually select what to bring over and what not to bring over. Because of this it requires a painful clean-up process on the original project (or global field and other global configurations) before you can attempt to migrate the project instead of selecting only the elements needed.

  Sorry to hear you had a poor experience with Configuration Manager.

  The app does actually provide options for selecting what to include or exclude when you create snapshot, like specific filters, boards, or dashboards. We also provide 3 types of snapshots (project configuration, project with issues, and system), so additional flexibility on what to include/exclude is there, too.

  On the deployment side, the Selective Merge functionality enables you to skip or alter changes to the target system. If what you're looking for is the ability to skip an arbitrary change during the deployment, our development team has specifically not enabled that functionality because it could lead to problems and inconsistencies on the target after deployment.
